The 2 stars are for the provider good service. Waited over 2 hrs. Asked the lady in the front desk if i can come back and she kept saying you are next. There were 2 guys with their mother who were there since 1030 am and finally left a 300. The front desk was unattended for periods of 20 min or more. A lady who have an appt. At 2 pm was still in the waiting area at 330. Need better way to provide estimated waiting time.

My experience with Tamika was beyond amazing. She truly cared for my feelings and treated my visit with care. I dont know about yall but anytime I visit a physician office I always feel rushed and more like a burden. This was definitely not the case with her. I would definitely recommend her 1010

Review in two parts1 P.A. Baldi is terrific. Conversational. Listened. Gave feedback on what she thought and next steps. Great. Shes the reason Im not giving this place a 1 star review2 My experience getting in and getting to PA Baldi was pretty miserable. I set up a 3pm appointment online. Arrived plenty of time before but told there were no doctors on prem and Id have to come back the next day you couldnt have let me know before I drive down here. I came back the next day for an 830am appointment. Checked in before then but still waited until 915 to be called then sat for 40 mins in the exam room with no word when they might see me.Seemed like they just had the one PA and so many people pouring in to be seen.Dont come to this location. Do seek out PA Lavinia Baldi.

I have Been trying to get in for a visit the last 3 days I was turned away with attitude on a walk in at 4pm when they are open until 8pm and was understanding they were busy. Then tried to make an appointment online to an open spot days later and was called and said they are closing at 5pm because they do not have a doctor. If you need medical attention I would look somewhere else not a very reliable place at all

Absolute dog water service. Was waiting for over and hour and a half to be greeted by the rudest most unprofessional human being Ive ever encountered. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to waste your time and get treated with attitude.

Excellent. If you have to wait a little it will be worth it in the end. My experience in particular was excellent very friendly and although it may take a while between tests it is worth the wait. Both the nurses and the doctor who treated me were very professional and very confident in their work. Thanks

Frequently Asked Questions
Your pediatrician might be able to administer screenings, but most general doctors are not trained to formally diagnose autism. They might refer you to a qualified diagnostic clinician which include:
Developmental Pediatricians
Child Psychologists
Child Psychiatrists
Pediatric Neurologists
Pediatric Neuropsychologists
Your experience might look different depending on the type of clinician you choose. Many families prefer working with developmental pediatricians. Others might work with a psychiatrist or another specialist to get a different perspective.
A formal ASD diagnosis, or a medical diagnosis, helps you get the support your family needs, especially within the context of accessing medically necessary therapies and services.
Insurance Coverage for Therapies: Medically necessary therapies for ASD are often covered by insurance including, but not limited to, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and occupational therapy.
Financial Support: A diagnosis is required when applying for social security or disability benefits.
Plan for Care: A diagnosis helps identify your child’s support needs. For example, your child might need to develop social communication and self-regulation skills.
Future Research: The more data we gather through evaluations, the more we can improve services for autistic children and adults.
The occupational therapy process includes an OT evaluation before care starts. Here are the four steps your family can expect when starting occupational therapy:
Complete OT evaluation. An occupational therapist first identifies your child’s strengths and needs through a thorough OT evaluation, also known as an OT assessment or screening. You’ll answer questions about your child’s skills, and your child will most likely demonstrate their skills via hands-on activities with the therapist. Evaluations can last 30 minutes to a few hours.
Approve OT plan. The therapist develops a care plan with individualized goals and customized interventions based on your child’s needs. You can also share any specific goals or concerns before approving the OT plan.
Start therapy sessions. The therapist works directly with your child and your family, using various strategies and exercises to systematically improve areas of limitations and to build upon a child’s strengths. Some exercises your child might participate in are animal walks, obstacle courses, and therapy swing activities. Your family may learn strategies for supporting your child’s individualized needs at home, such as ways of supporting emotional regulation and sensory processing. The therapist may also recommend tools and techniques to use at home, in the community, or in the classroom to help your child succeed.
Monitor your child’s progress. Parents and caregivers can expect ongoing progress monitoring and communication to ensure the child is achieving their short and long-term goals.
Occupational therapy can also be provided virtually via telemedicine. Virtual therapy is a great option for families in rural areas who may not have access to in-person services, or for families who prefer to have therapy in their child’s home.
Virtual OT allows the opportunity for increased caregiver participation and understanding of a child’s strengths, areas of improvement, and generalization of skills in the child’s home environment. Virtual therapy also provides increased opportunities for caregiver and family education to support the child and the family based on each family’s needs.
Once you find a quality physical therapist you want to work with, here are a few things you need to know:
There will be an evaluation. First, you can expect an assessment to identify your child’s areas of strength and needs. A physical therapy evaluation usually lasts 30 minutes.
You’ll review and approve the care plan. The physical therapist will create a care plan, also known as a plan of care (POC), outlining the goals and strategies. They will review this with you and your care team before moving forward with therapy sessions.
Physical therapy sessions will be fun. PT with children is designed to be enjoyable. The therapist will use strategies and exercises based on your child’s needs. Exercises might involve playing on large stability balls, obstacle courses, movement equipment, stretches, and other hands-on activities.
Expect home exercises. Physical therapists commonly assign exercises to work on at home. Doing these exercises with your child outside therapy sessions can improve your child’s overall progress.
Yes! Most providers offer physical therapy in their offices or a clinical setting, but many are offering at-home options. Virtual options have become more popular in recent years. You might facilitate care with the guidance of the physical therapist.
Pediatric physical therapy is considered safe and should not hurt. Autistic children spend their time in PT moving and exploring their environment. If you are concerned about your child experiencing pain during certain exercises, especially if they may struggle to communicate and advocate for modifications, speak with their physical therapist about your concerns.
