Both people who saw me today were very rude. The first one the nurse rolled her eyes many times at both me and my wife. And the Second Lady the Nurse Practitioner responded to a complaint I had about their services with a combative defensive attitude. I said there was no sign saying they dont see anyone after 730 on Monday 3424. The NP then proceeded to FOLLOW ME to the door after my visit just to condescendingly point out that there was now a sign on the door stating they dont take walk-ins after 730. No wonder why no one wants to go here anymore. This could have been handled in a much more professional manner. If you cant handle working with the public then maybe youre in the wrong profession.

05 really. I showed up for my appointment with 2 sick children and was turned away because I needed to use a check to pay the copay. I didnt see a single sign about not accepting check as well as the website claiming you do. I was told I could come back with a card or cash. Both my children had fevers and felt like garbage just to be turned away. So disappointing.

I dont know what has happened to this place but it is not a pleasant place and I will not be going back My sons visit wasnt great and my husbands was even worse. The nurse practitioner was a joke and the nurse was even worse Very unprofessional. I understand its cold and flu season and things are stressful but you need to handle yourselves in a more professional manner. Very disappointed.

This was by far the worst experience Ive ever had going to Urgent care. I have used physicians immediate care many times before this with no issue. Apparently there was a change in ownership. I had a 340 appointment. When I arrived I was told they were running an hour behind. Though frustrating I chose to wait. Around 445 they bring us back to a room and swab my daughters throat for strep. We then wait more than another hour on a telehealth provider to actually talk with us. This is a total scam and waste of time. The staff at the faculty are kind and trying to be helpful. They are not the issue. The parent company needs to hire a provider. It is absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time. I guess I should have just taken her to the ER for a stupid strep test. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time coming here.

We are from out of state and were visiting family for Thanksgiving. 3 year old came down with a cold and was complaining of ears hurting so we wanted to get him in to be seen by someone in case he had an ear infection. He did. Everyone at Physicians Immediate Care from reception nurse and doctor were very nice. Whole process went very smooth. Was easy to check-in online and register on phone ahead of time.

Second time here for a work physical for a non-lifting job and they insist on checking me for hernias. I explained I didnt want to do that because last time they hurt me and it just seems to be this location that checks for that. Ive been about 20 PICs in my life. Before even giving that detail I mentioned it to the receptionist and she snapped at me dont tell me tell them. Whoa. So when the nurse practitioner walked in she mentioned it so the receptionist did tell her so there was no reason to snap at me anyways. Then the nurse practitioner continued to argue with me showing me the form even though I explained trust me its just this place thats doing this for non-lifting jobs plus last time the nurse hurt me also your receptionist snapped at me. No apology nothing. I said mark it refused. Absolutely had it with customer service at this place and in general in this one horse town. Get some tact.

I am from another European country. And it was a ridiculously long time of waiting to do my drug test. This is not my first time here and I always have 2 hours of waiting. Usually 3-4 people in que. Respect the time of other people not just yours. We have a lot of work to do not just to wait for your very slow service.

Place is a joke Waited 4 hours for a physical. The staff could even find the proper book for the color vision test. Some of the staff members thought it was so funny that this book got up and walked away. I however did not see the humor in this as I had wasted 5 hours of my day at this place at this point. Id recommend finding a different provider and or office it possible

I had a very good experience at immediate care. The people that work there are awesome. Michelle was my nurse practitioner. I loved her. Awesome bedside manner. She was very caring and took the time to sit and listen and talk to me. I would definitely go back there again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your pediatrician might be able to administer screenings, but most general doctors are not trained to formally diagnose autism. They might refer you to a qualified diagnostic clinician which include:
Developmental Pediatricians
Child Psychologists
Child Psychiatrists
Pediatric Neurologists
Pediatric Neuropsychologists
Your experience might look different depending on the type of clinician you choose. Many families prefer working with developmental pediatricians. Others might work with a psychiatrist or another specialist to get a different perspective.
A formal ASD diagnosis, or a medical diagnosis, helps you get the support your family needs, especially within the context of accessing medically necessary therapies and services.
Insurance Coverage for Therapies: Medically necessary therapies for ASD are often covered by insurance including, but not limited to, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and occupational therapy.
Financial Support: A diagnosis is required when applying for social security or disability benefits.
Plan for Care: A diagnosis helps identify your child’s support needs. For example, your child might need to develop social communication and self-regulation skills.
Future Research: The more data we gather through evaluations, the more we can improve services for autistic children and adults.
The occupational therapy process includes an OT evaluation before care starts. Here are the four steps your family can expect when starting occupational therapy:
Complete OT evaluation. An occupational therapist first identifies your child’s strengths and needs through a thorough OT evaluation, also known as an OT assessment or screening. You’ll answer questions about your child’s skills, and your child will most likely demonstrate their skills via hands-on activities with the therapist. Evaluations can last 30 minutes to a few hours.
Approve OT plan. The therapist develops a care plan with individualized goals and customized interventions based on your child’s needs. You can also share any specific goals or concerns before approving the OT plan.
Start therapy sessions. The therapist works directly with your child and your family, using various strategies and exercises to systematically improve areas of limitations and to build upon a child’s strengths. Some exercises your child might participate in are animal walks, obstacle courses, and therapy swing activities. Your family may learn strategies for supporting your child’s individualized needs at home, such as ways of supporting emotional regulation and sensory processing. The therapist may also recommend tools and techniques to use at home, in the community, or in the classroom to help your child succeed.
Monitor your child’s progress. Parents and caregivers can expect ongoing progress monitoring and communication to ensure the child is achieving their short and long-term goals.
Occupational therapy can also be provided virtually via telemedicine. Virtual therapy is a great option for families in rural areas who may not have access to in-person services, or for families who prefer to have therapy in their child’s home.
Virtual OT allows the opportunity for increased caregiver participation and understanding of a child’s strengths, areas of improvement, and generalization of skills in the child’s home environment. Virtual therapy also provides increased opportunities for caregiver and family education to support the child and the family based on each family’s needs.
Once you find a quality physical therapist you want to work with, here are a few things you need to know:
There will be an evaluation. First, you can expect an assessment to identify your child’s areas of strength and needs. A physical therapy evaluation usually lasts 30 minutes.
You’ll review and approve the care plan. The physical therapist will create a care plan, also known as a plan of care (POC), outlining the goals and strategies. They will review this with you and your care team before moving forward with therapy sessions.
Physical therapy sessions will be fun. PT with children is designed to be enjoyable. The therapist will use strategies and exercises based on your child’s needs. Exercises might involve playing on large stability balls, obstacle courses, movement equipment, stretches, and other hands-on activities.
Expect home exercises. Physical therapists commonly assign exercises to work on at home. Doing these exercises with your child outside therapy sessions can improve your child’s overall progress.
Yes! Most providers offer physical therapy in their offices or a clinical setting, but many are offering at-home options. Virtual options have become more popular in recent years. You might facilitate care with the guidance of the physical therapist.
Pediatric physical therapy is considered safe and should not hurt. Autistic children spend their time in PT moving and exploring their environment. If you are concerned about your child experiencing pain during certain exercises, especially if they may struggle to communicate and advocate for modifications, speak with their physical therapist about your concerns.
