I have been to Physicians Immediate Care a few times before. As always their attention to you is very good. I have always been pleased. This last visit was top notch. Being able to see someone that day and getting help and treatment right away was very important. Thank you for your care.

This was by far the absolute worst experience weve had at an urgent care facility. For background Im a hospitalist physician who works inpatient. My fianc had been having respiratory symptoms cough runny nose and headaches for a few days. He had been taking several over-the-counter medications including Dayquil Nyquil throat sprays as well as benzonatate cough pearls and his ipratropium inhaler. When he started experiencing worsening chest congestionphlegm and fevers I drove him to this facility. They did a nasal swab and we waited in the exam room for results. A few minutes later a provider walks in and announces You have COVID 5 days in. 5 more days to go. He threw his hands up in the air and said Sorry I cant fix ya. When I asked about whether he was going to prescribe anything for symptom relief he said Delsym round-the-clock. Youll be fine Enjoy the weekend and then rushed us out. As we started to leave he did ramble on about isolation guidelines which sounded like he memorized from the CDC website and didnt seem to care whether we were even following along. He ended the one-sided conversation with If you start having shortness of breath go to the ER dont come back here. We said thank you and walked out with papers in our hand that said Diagnosis 1. COVID-19 2. Acute cough. and zero prescriptions.I work in a fast-paced environment myself with a high volume of pretty sick patients but never have I abandoned my compassion for my patients or forgotten the reason behind why I do what I do. We left the building and just took a moment to process what had just happened. I didnt see the name of the provider in the paperwork and went back inside to ask the front desk I was willing to give this person the benefit of doubt..perhaps it was a busy day..but the pretty empty waiting room suggested otherwise. They wrote his name on a post-it note Carmen and handed it to me. We arent even sure if he was an MD PA or NP. Whoever he was he should be ashamed to call himself a healthcare provider. What a shockingly horrible experience. If youre reading this review coming from a physician please go literally anywhere else if you have acute health needs.

Ive been here a few times a sick kid who couldnt get into the pediatrician fast enough a physical etc. this most recent time I needed help.I developed mastitis over the course of a few hours. I was in excruciating pain and couldnt get into my primary care. I was able to set an appointment time and walk right in to Physicians immediate care. The staff were kind helpful and sent me on my way with a prescription for antibiotics within a half-hour.I appreciate the service they provided for me and my family when we couldnt get into our regular doctor. Theyre our first choice when our doctor isnt available.

Rude rushed and unprofessional. Attending nurse AND doctor didnt introduce themselves they were both equally ill-mannered and careless. The patient my brother with sensory issues presented with a fever sore throat and overall discomfort. Nurse made inappropriate comments towards the patient and called him a big baby when he commented the BP cuff was tight. The doctor was no better. He did not perform a proper examination of the patient presenting with a fever no examination of ears lungs lymph nodes -- simply looked at his throat with a flash light and told him in a condescending tone Ive seen 20 of these today. Its viral pharyngitis. I cant treat that. Not only did we leave the clinic without appropriate answers vital signs were not verbally presented either but they didnt even provide us with a printout of the visit. Patient safety and compassion is clearly not a priority at this clinic.

I actually had to visit this location twice within 24 hours. My first visit was with my five-year-old son and it was a great experience We were walkins and maybe only had to wait 10 minutes or so before being seen after filling out paperwork. Robin was the nurse and she was so extremely nice and the physicians assistant was so unbelievably nice and so good with my son. She was so friendly and the way she explained everything was so wonderful and so thorough. She treated my son so well and it made me feel so comfortable. The next night I ended up accidentally cutting my finger on a knife. I called them before I came in just to make sure they did stitches in case I needed them and someone answered very quickly. I walked in holding my finger in so much pain in the lady at the front desk was so incredibly nice. They got me in right away and she actually was able to fill out a ton of paperwork for me based off my drivers license. They saw me so quickly and I was literally in and out probably within 30 minutes. They are so extremely nice and I love it there. I love that both times I had to go there. We were seeing so quickly and really did not have to wait. I actually ended up taking my son to a different urgent care first but they were so full and actually wouldnt see us so I ended up coming here and so glad that we found this place On a sidenote they have so many cute toys for kids if you bring your kid in there this will definitely be our go to urgent care facility.Edit you can absolutely use it

My daughter and I were there for eye pain. The pain got so intense that she started to hyperventilate and wasnt able to breathe. They called an ambulance and helped my daughter calm down and regulate her breathing. They also gave her pain meds to help ease the suffering she was feeling. From the beginning the staff was amazing. They got her in right away and were so caring and attentive. Even though they didnt have an exact diagnosis they were able to rule out several things.I am grateful to them for taking such genuine care of my little girl. They literally ran into our room to help calm her. Amazing women. Thank you.You may absolutely use this review on your website or anywhere else

I went to the usual immediate care facility and it was very crowded and seemed cold so I came here and immediately felt the warmth of friendliness and compassion. Dr. Olynda was THE kindest most caring doctor Ive ever encountered In an immediate care center and is an excellent communicator. I appreciated how she asked me how much I wanted to know about what she was going to do and fully complied with my preferences. It was a relief to be able to get treatment according to MY needs not a doctors and it felt very reassuring to know she cared about me - a complete stranger. I highly recommend going here.

This was the easiest urgent care facility I have been to. You get an earliest appointment online they send you times for that day or the next day. This was for cough and congestion not a life threatening illness. I picked an appointment and I was able to register from my phone. They texted me 45 minutes before my appointment I headed over let them know I was there they text me right away to come in. I waited 15 minutes and was in the patient room Met with the nurse and then the dr. Great people. Great communication I received my diagnosis and she explained why and what to do and sent my scripts to my pharmacy and wow If I went to the other urgent cares I would have sat there for hours Amazing

Frequently Asked Questions
Your pediatrician might be able to administer screenings, but most general doctors are not trained to formally diagnose autism. They might refer you to a qualified diagnostic clinician which include:
Developmental Pediatricians
Child Psychologists
Child Psychiatrists
Pediatric Neurologists
Pediatric Neuropsychologists
Your experience might look different depending on the type of clinician you choose. Many families prefer working with developmental pediatricians. Others might work with a psychiatrist or another specialist to get a different perspective.
A formal ASD diagnosis, or a medical diagnosis, helps you get the support your family needs, especially within the context of accessing medically necessary therapies and services.
Insurance Coverage for Therapies: Medically necessary therapies for ASD are often covered by insurance including, but not limited to, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and occupational therapy.
Financial Support: A diagnosis is required when applying for social security or disability benefits.
Plan for Care: A diagnosis helps identify your child’s support needs. For example, your child might need to develop social communication and self-regulation skills.
Future Research: The more data we gather through evaluations, the more we can improve services for autistic children and adults.
The occupational therapy process includes an OT evaluation before care starts. Here are the four steps your family can expect when starting occupational therapy:
Complete OT evaluation. An occupational therapist first identifies your child’s strengths and needs through a thorough OT evaluation, also known as an OT assessment or screening. You’ll answer questions about your child’s skills, and your child will most likely demonstrate their skills via hands-on activities with the therapist. Evaluations can last 30 minutes to a few hours.
Approve OT plan. The therapist develops a care plan with individualized goals and customized interventions based on your child’s needs. You can also share any specific goals or concerns before approving the OT plan.
Start therapy sessions. The therapist works directly with your child and your family, using various strategies and exercises to systematically improve areas of limitations and to build upon a child’s strengths. Some exercises your child might participate in are animal walks, obstacle courses, and therapy swing activities. Your family may learn strategies for supporting your child’s individualized needs at home, such as ways of supporting emotional regulation and sensory processing. The therapist may also recommend tools and techniques to use at home, in the community, or in the classroom to help your child succeed.
Monitor your child’s progress. Parents and caregivers can expect ongoing progress monitoring and communication to ensure the child is achieving their short and long-term goals.
Occupational therapy can also be provided virtually via telemedicine. Virtual therapy is a great option for families in rural areas who may not have access to in-person services, or for families who prefer to have therapy in their child’s home.
Virtual OT allows the opportunity for increased caregiver participation and understanding of a child’s strengths, areas of improvement, and generalization of skills in the child’s home environment. Virtual therapy also provides increased opportunities for caregiver and family education to support the child and the family based on each family’s needs.
Once you find a quality physical therapist you want to work with, here are a few things you need to know:
There will be an evaluation. First, you can expect an assessment to identify your child’s areas of strength and needs. A physical therapy evaluation usually lasts 30 minutes.
You’ll review and approve the care plan. The physical therapist will create a care plan, also known as a plan of care (POC), outlining the goals and strategies. They will review this with you and your care team before moving forward with therapy sessions.
Physical therapy sessions will be fun. PT with children is designed to be enjoyable. The therapist will use strategies and exercises based on your child’s needs. Exercises might involve playing on large stability balls, obstacle courses, movement equipment, stretches, and other hands-on activities.
Expect home exercises. Physical therapists commonly assign exercises to work on at home. Doing these exercises with your child outside therapy sessions can improve your child’s overall progress.
Yes! Most providers offer physical therapy in their offices or a clinical setting, but many are offering at-home options. Virtual options have become more popular in recent years. You might facilitate care with the guidance of the physical therapist.
Pediatric physical therapy is considered safe and should not hurt. Autistic children spend their time in PT moving and exploring their environment. If you are concerned about your child experiencing pain during certain exercises, especially if they may struggle to communicate and advocate for modifications, speak with their physical therapist about your concerns.
