Our 87 yr old Dad became a patientresident one month ago today Pheasant Wood after 9 days in the hospital after a fall. He has 9 broken bones that are healing and had a bout with both pneumonia hospital delirium. We were all a bit worried about his insurance choosing this facility for him based on reviews. His full Nursing Care and Speech OT and PT as well as the Admin Team have all exceeded our expectations. If I could give a 10 star rating to these employees I would. They are significantly understaffed but work mostly with smiles on their faces. I truly hope Genesis reads that last sentence on repeat. So why 4 stars Truthfully the facility is old and outdated so much so that it feels dirty. It would not take much for Genesis to freshen up many of these cluttered outdated spaces. Dad also wont give the food anything above 3 stars. But of course Mom iswas a chef in her prime And the company must hire more of these skilled employees. So with all of that... HUGE KUDOS to Nic Heather Michele Mike Amy Brad Roni and Randi. I will write again after this next months stay to update our families thoughts and to name more of Pheasant Woods employees by name. We all know it takes a village to raise a child. Id like to edit this for the adult children of these residents... It takes THIS village to take medical physical care of our elderly loved ones Thank you all.

My father was taken there for temporary rehab He spent less than 24hrs when he signed himself out.. He asked for help at 730am with personal care family got there just after 1030am and he had not yet had the help he needed.. Total neglect I guess I should have known when we left him the day before... Whereas the nurse checking him in wasextremely nice.. Not an easy chair in sight.. And this is person whos supposed to have his feetlegs elevated... LNAs sitting on the nurses desk... Very unprofessional. The building definitely needs updating and the hallway needed decluttering. And I had to wonder how old the beds were...

Have to put a star to post but here is the truth- My father was transfered here from another Genesis facility. It was the worse decision. The 3rd floor was an absolute disaster zone. You could not tell the patients from the staff. My fathers health declined so fast he did not know who I was within 2 weeks of being there and lost over 20 lbs. I tried repeatedly to get him transfered out but the staff would not follow thru with my multiple requests until I contacted the Administrator. It took 4 months to get him out. I drove 2-12 hrs to get my father and then another 2-12 hour to bring him to a new facility. Most of his new cloths were destroyed or missing. This place needs to be shut down to protect the elderly from such neglect. My father died last week. But I blame Pheasant Wood for his sped up death. I have never been so disgusted with a nursing home. Dont be fooled. They do not have any memory care unit here. Its just a free for all with no structure and employees in total disarray.

My grandfather was at pheasant wood center and had the best experience. The staff were kind and attentive to his needs- always respectful of him and ensuring his dignity. Thanks to everyone there who lent a hand in caring for him- very grateful

Pheasantwood Center should be extremely proud of the exceptional care provided by the staff in every department. My family will be forever grateful for the compassion and kindness with which my brother was treated during his lengthy and difficult illness. We are also extremely grateful to all of those who went above and beyond their required duties to assist visiting family members. Everything possible was done to provide for my brothers physical and mental comfort and wellbeing. When the Covid-19 pandemic kept us from in-person visits arrangements were quickly made for us to visit via Zoom so that even in the last days of Ricks life his family and many friends were able to be with him and let him know how much he was loved.

My husband and I had to make the difficult decision to place my mother-in-law in a nursing home. Mary in Admissions and Sam in the Business office were absolutely wonderful through the whole process. Everyone we have come in contact with since admission have been great - her nurse Krista the social worker and all the nurses who we have called to check on my mother in law took the time to talk to us to update us on how she was adjusting.

I have worked in nursing homes for the last 35 years in many capacities until my retirement in 2013. I have always found that the majority of employees and management are caring competent workers. I have visited and followed Pheasant Wood over the last several years and noticed an amazing difference in the nursing home environment.. They are a family staff and residents caring for each other. Staff is expected to do their best and are treated with respect and rewarded in so many ways most of which is food haha. They have become one big happy family. Celebrations for so many reasons yummy treats quite often loving generous volunteers and pets and farm animal visitors always around. I believe chickens are back again this year and the residents are thrilled. I always note so many happy smiling faces and lots of laughter when I visit.

Making the decision to put a loved one into a nursing home facility is a challenging one. Our family was so fortunate to have Pheasant Wood as an option. We could not have been more satisfied with the care and kindness that were extended to our family member. Pheasant Wood provides a true feels like home experience.

Wonderful and caring employees. My grandfather spent some time at Pheasantwood before he passed. Everyone was so respectful and kind. There are many activities for the residents including weekly outings to local stores and restaurants. The nurses care for the residents like they are part of their own family.

What a fabulous place to be Ive been employed with Genesis Pheasant Wood Center since September 2018 and everyone here has been welcoming and extremely helpful. The residents have a wonderful staff supporting them to create a warm at home experience and to ensure their stay with us is the best it can be. There are so many activities for them to enjoy both here at the center and outside the center as well. We love having fun and getting work done Everyone works together to make this an enjoyable environment that you can be confident your loved one is happy and well taken care of
