Nobody here wants to do their jobs the nurses rarely check on my child and when they actually do they seem like its an inconvenience. Took 3 days to talk to the social worker here because theyre under staffed but shes chit chatting at the nurses station. None of the surgeons are confident enough and are asking my wife what she think they should do. This place should never have children treated here its unethical at this point.

Misdiagnosed my infant in the ER refused to listen to my pediatrician who sent us an Ascension network doctor and then double billed for it all.The attending physician didnt even assess her in the ER. Medical students are running the show and they just dont have enough supervision or training to properly assess or develop treatment plans. We raised concerns with hospital administration and were ignored and dismissed. The experience was harrowing enough that an ethics complaint ended up being filed by our pediatrician. We have also raised concerns to the medical licensing board and the joint commission hospital governance board.Bottom line the ER is not a safe place to receive care. Go elsewhere And if you do decide to go there check your bills carefully

I hate to do this. We took our 6 year old daughter there with high fever and stomach pains. Nurses were not attentive so slow and the Dr. who we saw for 30 seconds misdiagnosed her with a stomach bug. Our pediatrician and two Dr friends both confirmed PMCH didnt do enough tests including blood work and a CT scan. After going to Riley she was correctly diagnosed with a kidney infection. If PMCH had been more thorough an inpatient stay would have never been necessary. So sad to say we will be making the drive to Riley for any future issues. To date no one has ever followed up with us sent a survey called to see how she is.

The doctors are good but do not have an emergency after valet is closed you will have a far walk with your sick child in the cold. Whoever came up with this new parking garage idea clearly did not think it through.

The emergency department is great. Being admitted as a patient is not. We took our son here and never got any care or help with what was going on with him. We brought him home with zero answers.ER nurse doctor Dr. Holly Irwin were very nice and helpful. Wish we would have ended our visit there. Our first nurse after being admitted Rachel did absolutely nothing. Didnt take vitals. Didnt help us with baby. Didnt fill us in on anything. She didnt even do rounds at shift change nor did the next nurse.Dr came in I let her know we were unhappy and my son needed fluids. I demanded them myself along with pedialyte. She said she would be back to check on us before she left to go home. Never did.Neuro Dr Lauren James came in wearing her coat had her bags to leave. We had been waiting to speak with her all day. She immediately said they were hoping for an episode for my son to have a seizure. She took notes from me on the back of a scratch piece of paper. Then she was angry with us when we said we were just going to leave because we had been there for 20 hours with no answers. She stormed out of our room and talked about us to the nurses right outside our room. Sorry for the inconvenience lady Hope your bedside manner can improve. Our son recovered on his own and we discharged ourselves. We will never be back to this hospital. We have taken him to Riley Cincinnati childrens in the past and have never been treated this way. It wasnt just one person at Peyton Manning - it was all of them that could have done better. At one point I thought my son could die because of the lack of care we received. Im so happy hes okay and we are home safe. Please reconsider before taking your child here.

Upon arrival at the pediatric surgery center in Indianapolis we were met with the most phenomenal staff most especially nurse Brenda and the child life specialist. After my daughters surgery I was advised she would need to be admitted to the PICU pediatric Intensive care unit. The staff in the PICU was amazing. Nurses Kayla and Aliyah were second to none and we are so grateful for their professionalism positivity and sincere kindness. However at 152am a Dr. Krieger in the PICU and Dr. Miller in pediatrics made a decision to move my daughter AT 152AM from the PICU to the regular pediatric unit. Initially I thought there was a space issue and they needed the suite and because my daughter was showing signs of improvement they decided to move her...NOT THE CASE. As we rolled through the ascension hallways in the PICU I noticed at least 3 clean available suites. There was absolutely no reason to relocate my child whom had finally begun to actually rest. To disturb her recovery process at 152am was unacceptable. The blatant disregard for my daughter was nauseating at best. The time is now 408am and she still has not returned to sleep. To say that I am furious is quite the understatement. I am confident that neither Dr. Krieger nor Dr. Miller expected me to complain about this disparate treatment. I have never experienced my daughter being so poorly treated at an Ascension facility. I pray that those reading this review never have to experience a child in the PICU or the pediatric unit for that matter for any reason. But should you find yourself under the care of either of these physicians I would strongly suggest you request you prepare to have to advocate for your child because sadly these 2 pediatric physician in my experience have no regard for children and best practices for their care.

Not really set up for the family parents that are their with their child. We had a place to sleep though. Other than that an amazing team that did wonderful with my son. Above n beyond. And a very informative team willing to help us learn what my son would need and have done for his diagnosis. If I could nominate anyone for the daisy award it would be every single person that helped my son interacted with him and played with him. Including the cafeteria lady and the gentleman that delivered my sons food to him.But on another note trying to get thru on a Sunday to know what to do when my son had a flare up which is life threatening n being told theyre closed.. beyond frustrating and terrifying.

We live in Indianapolis and our 17 years old daughter who along with her brother and sister is the joy of our lives. On Friday night our daughter had a medical emergency which was a perforated peptic ulcer that in addition to being excruciatingly painful was putting her life in danger. I didnt know an ulcer could be that dangerous but the doctors assured me that it was allowing Free Air into her abdomen which can kill you. Our daughter was brought in by ambulance at 500am and was immediately surrounded by the surgeons and medical staff who quickly diagnosed the problem developed a plan and rushed our daughter into the operating room by 800am and repaired the problem. My daughter is now on the mend and is being released today. She will be back in school in a few days and athlete that she is will have her catchers gear on behind the plate within a few weeks.I hope that opening day for softball season is sunny so that I have an excuse to wear sunglasses so that no one can see the tears in our eyes as our daughter trots out onto the field in her catchers gear.Nothing but good things to say about PM Childrens Hospital. They are a well oiled machine.
