Pediatric Neurologists - Port St. Lucie - ST. LUCIE WEST OFFICE

I do not recommend this office. My newly 1 yr old son had a referral from his doctor sent due to a possible seizure. I was NEVER contacted by this office despite the fact the got his referral I called and left a voicemail and his doctors office tried helping to contact them per the women I spoke to. This was months ago this place has had PLENTY of time to contact me. Sadly my son whose meerly a baby possibly had a seizure but Ill never know because this office clearly doesnt care about a child. Sadly I believe this was the only office his insurance would accept. So now I pray my son doesnt have what appears to be a seizure if he does I fully blame this office since he should have been seen MONTHS ago and of course plan to take him to he ER where I know they give a small damn about my childs health.

My child has been going to this office for many years. As a parent I had many concerns that were not being addressed and I felt unheard. The staff is very rude and does not return calls in a timely manner. I wrote a previous review and because of that I got a call from the office manager saying they will no longer treat my son. Left him without any medication on hand. This was a way for them to try to get back at me by not filling his prescription but they neglected the patient. Please beware you are not allowed freedom of speech so if you would like your child to remain at the office DO NOT write a review they will retaliate. Take a look at the other reviews we cannot all be telling the same lie.

Weve attempted on three separate occasions to get a assessment done and have been refused every time Never even getting past the medical assistant on the phone. They are negligent in doing this as our daughter is missing out on resources that could be helping her. EDITWe received a letter terminating our care which is fine because they refused to ever do a assessment in the first place. I will be reporting them for discrimination.

They do not return calls. I needed the orders for my twins feedingspeech therapy and they faxed over the diagnosis for Autism instead. Im compliant on wearing a mask in the office but not having my husband with me to receive a life changing diagnosis of Autism was completely negligent of my mental health. My husband should have been there. Stop using the pandemic as an excuse So many other healthcare facilities are no longer saying one parent per patient and they are no longer mandating people to wear masks to be seen. Its absolutely ridiculous to still have these as office policies Edit to OP My twins appointments were August 29th 2022 and August 31st 2022. Due to the lack of compassion poor excuse for bedside manner and not returning my calls we will not be returning They responded to this review saying that both parents were allowed. However I got a voicemail today from the office saying they were sending a letter discharging us from the practice because of the review and not wanting to follow office policies.

Extremely unpleasant office dr and staff. My son is 5 years old and epileptic. They have messed up orders multiple times they NEVER EVER answer their phones and if you do by the grace of god get ahold of them they are unpleasant and unprofessional. We have had nothing but problems with them and so have a few of my friends who take their kids there as well. When I brought up a concern to Dr. Ley about my son she completely disregarded what I said and blamed it on his age. She is very dry and judgmental as well. As if I am not his mother and dont know what Im talking about. Certain things were never addressed and I could go on and on about how awful the experience was here. I would greatly recommend going anywhere other than here if you value your child. What they have recently done to us is unspeakable and unforgivable. Rate 0 out of 10. Blech

If you opt out of text messages you opt out of receiving important information and get told its your fault for opting out. I asked why I wouldnt receive a call thats how I confirmed the appointment or email that only 1 parent can go to the appointment and was told theyre too short staffed to do that. When the Dr came in and asked how I was doing I said not happy and she immediately got defensive blaming me for not receiving texts and when I asked how was I supposed to know I wouldnt receive important information. She told me that shes not the person to complain to complain to management. Im not angry about the policy. I respect that. Im angry at the fault in their communication and that I got blamed My husband lost a days pay because they couldnt put it automated in the appointment confirmation. No apologies just matter of fact that it was MY FAULT. I was told thats policy too. However the family not wearing masks didnt have to follow the office policy. HORRIBLE.

The rudest staff My daughter has a pill phobia they claim we were not compliant bc of it They never answer their phones to schedule and threaten you over the phone to comply Will find a new provider

It has been several years ago that we last visited this office but I found Dr. Ley professional and matter-of-fact. We had zero issues with getting a quick diagnosis and the office staff were quick to communicate and call us back when we had a problem. The only reason Im going with 4 stars instead of 5 was the communication that office staff had with my daughter. She was nervous young and neither the EEG technicians or the doctor seemed to know how to communicate with kids. A couple of the EEG techs seemed to think it was funny to crack jokes instead of explaining things on her level. The doctor was better at trying to explain things on her level- but seemed surprised and acted like she had never thought about it before that things like having an EEG or having seizures would be scary to a kid. It seemed odd for a pediatric office interaction and my daughter DREADED going there.

Wow just reading the comments I have been trying to schedule an appointment. For about 4 months.They asked me for my sons records from his previous neurologist. Trust me the only reason we are trying to go there is becauseOur previous neurologist retired.Every time I get what ever they request they just ask for something else and give me an excuse for not scheduling my appointment.So sad they are not interested in helpingTomorrow I will ask my sons doctor toRefer us to another place. They dont have good commentsSo sad for the wasted time

It was the doctor for me. She came in the room with an unpleasant attitude. Instead of explaining things to us. We were told that we was being rude and defensive. When clearly all we were doing was trying to get an understanding. She did not listen to us in fact she was telling me what my child was doing when clearly he wasnt. Not one time did she try to engage with my child but yet tried to give him a diagnosis. She was very rude and nonchalant. We came to the office to get an understanding but yet she wanted to talk about her different degrees. That no one asked her about. No one even said to her that she wasnt qualified she assumed. Which gave me red flags. This was a horrible experience and I wished I would have looked at the reviews before wasting my time
