The Arlington location of Pediatric Associates of Alexandria was a good experience from start to finish. Switching health insurance we switched from Kaiser Capitol Hill which we loved to here based on recommendations. Heres our experience after our first visit with our five-year-old daughter1 Experience It was easy to set up an appointment via phone. We checked in and waited only a few minutes before my daughters name was called. We were taken to a patient room and barely had to wait in between nurses and the doctor. We were in and out within 30 minutes.2 Service The nurses and doctor all had good bed side manner and were friendly. My daughter liked each of them3 Parking Theres street parking nearby that costs only a few dollars.4 Online Portal After our visit we were given access to an online portal to make future appointments.

When my daughter was first born this practice was decent. Now takes FOREVER to get them on the phone. They always have billing issues. Even if you are on time takes forever to get put in the treatment room. Not sure what happened to their practice..

Dont waste your time. Seriously. They have a zero percent grace period for being even 30 seconds late. Im not even joking. They will cancel you as a first time parent with a two week old newborn on no sleep at 7 in the morning because you accidentally took the wrong turn. Its a factory of patients and the staff is rude. I left and immediately found a new Paediatrician that day.

Dr. Shaykh has done a phenomenal job caring for our newborn. He has gone above and beyond in coordinating with our sons specialists and never rushes a visit. We also never have to wait to be seen and have nothing but positive things to say about the office.

The providers are okay but the admin is absolutely horrible. Cant get them on the phone they rarely respond to emails and their online portal is a joke.At recent appointment the doctor advised us to make a follow up appointment in a month. At checkout the admin said he could not make the follow-up appointment and that the nurse would call me to schedule it. So now Im playing phone tag with the nurse. Very annoying and inefficient. We also had them complete the military overseas screening for our kids in 2022. I called to make an appointment they said no appointment is needed just send them the forms. I knew this was not correct but they refused to make appointments for our kids. I emailed the forms called back about a week or 2 later and guess what We need to make appointments because they need to be seen to complete some of the questions on the forms...which I had tried to tell them when I called for the appointments...this delayed our departure to move overseas.

Absolutely love Peds of Alexandria. We found our way to this practice after a negative experience with another VA pediatric office and it was a complete 180. All of the care providers are attentive and dont make us feel rushed compassionate with our child and have always made us feel very comfortable with the diagnosis and treatment plan when we are there for sick visits. We have had a positive experience with every single provider weve met with have to have at least seen 15 of them by now.

Pediatrics of Alexandria has always been a reputable and attentive group for my son. Even as a young adult 20. They were able to see him for a check up exam this is very important since he is not the age Id expect them to take. Thank you for giving my son excellent care during his childhood.

Great place for me to transition into motherhood. Theyre amazing they have nirses on call to help assist with any questions you may have they call back promptly. Always never have a wait more than 5-10min to be called to seen with my little guy. Theyre amazing and i appreciate them helping me with my questions on insurance and billing. They accept medicaid too

I would leave zero stars if I could. I have been bringing my kids to this practice for 8 years. They are not parent friendly whatsoever they have no grace period for when you are running a little behind due to unforeseen traffic. I arrived literally 5 min late for an appointment for my infant due to an accident on the road and they refused to see me and forced me to reschedule to another day. As a mother recovering from childbirth it takes so much out of you to make it to postpartum appointments and to be turned away over 5 minutes is ridiculousAgain today during rush hour traffic I called ahead to let them know a slow down on the bridge would put me 7 min behind my appointment time and they refused to see my child. I drove an nearly an HOUR to get to my appointment and not an ounce of sympathy and they were the ones that kept notifying me to make an appointment image that If you are looking for a physician that sees you as more than a number steer clear of this place. I have never heard of a doctors office that doesnt give a 5-10min grace period especially one that deals with children Terrible

My family loves Pediatric Associates of Alexandria. We generally always have a different practitioner and have never been disappointed. As dual working parents we especially appreciate the entire team being available for those early weekday appointments.
