Introduction
Hi, my name is Patricia! I am a bilingual speech-language pathologist, fluent in both English and Tagalog. I have worked in multiple different settings and have a wide range of experience. I really enjoy working with pediatric clients from ages 0-21 with a variety of speech-language disorders. I am certified in different Hanen programs such as It Takes Two to Talk, More than Words, and Talkability. Some of my favorite areas to treat include articulation, AAC, early intervention, and fluency. I am passionate about parent and caregiver education so that my clients can carryover their progress in the home environment! I am excited to connect with you and your family!
What words would you use to describe yourself?
If I had to choose three words that define my approach, they would be empathetic, patient, and playful. I understand that the journey toward communication can feel overwhelming for parents, so I lead with empathy and a calm, patient presence. However, since I work with little ones, I’m not afraid to get silly! Being playful allows me to follow a child’s lead and build the trust necessary for breakthroughs. When I’m not being a "play professional" in sessions, you’ll usually find me exploring the Bay Area’s best cuisines and beautiful sceneries to recharge.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to serve families with toddlers and preschoolers (ages 0-5) who are navigating language delays, Autism, or the transition to AAC. My "sweet spot" is working with caregivers who are eager to learn; I thrive when coaching parents on how to weave language strategies into everyday life. My expertise is deeply rooted in the foundational years of development, focusing on play-based interventions rather than the academic or social complexities that older students often face.
