About Partners in Parental Advocacy

Approximately 20 years ago, I began my special education journey. In the early days, I had no idea the path that was set before me. I thought my child was like everyone else’s. As the days went on, I found that wasn’t the case and the challenges became overwhelming. Other people I knew were not experiencing what I was. But it was my child and I was going to figure out how to help her. So I began to learn and grow in my knowledge of both my child’s disabilities and special education. I searched the answer to every question I had and the Internet became my best friend.
