About Padma Mandalapu, MD

I am Dr. Padma Mandalapu, my last name is not as tough as it spells but most of my little patients call me "Dr. Padma". Ever since I was first asked what I wanted to become when I was older, I had an ambition to become a physician, as the years went on, I developed a passion for Pediatrics. My love for kids and the joy they bring is indescribable. My education has taken me to both sides of the world. I began my journey at KMC Medial College, India. After Medical school, I decided to pursue a post-graduate education in Pediatrics which lead me to Edmonton, Canada. I received a Master’s degree in Pediatrics from University of Alberta where I had a great opportunity to research on the benefits of breast milk. My research work on Novel Immunosuppresant Factor in Colostrum has been patented, published, and won several awards. This experience made me a strong proponent of breast feeding.
