I had an amazing experience with my appointment at Nystrom associates- New Brighton. I would recommend anyone and everyone to go here especially after working with Kelly Capelle. She has a wonderful soul and really knows how to talk to people and she truly saw the best in me. After my appointment I came out feeling even better about myself so thank you for allowing me come here.

NOT TRANSGENDER FRIENDLY. I have been fighting with Nystrom Associates for literally YEARS now to improve their policies and practices regarding trans patients. They claim they have put procedures in place but they clearly have not properly trained their staff on those procedures. I cannot book an appointment speak to a nurse or receive any services without being deadnamed. They insist that they need me to state the legal name out loud in order to locate my record. They have this information on file for insurance billing purposes but there are other ways to confirm the account that dont require traumatizing the individual. I have to speak with a manager EVERY time. I am exhausted and done trying. DO NOT BOOK WITH NYSTROM if you are seeking an LGBTQIA friendly practice.

I am a patient of Nystrom. I have been trying to get in touch with a supervisor or manager for weeks. It seems like they really dont want to help me. The best I got so far is Charlie. I actually got a call from a scam likely number. Therefore I didnt answer it. Turns out it was Charlie. Charlie was quite cheerful in his message. He asked me to call him back at the scam likely. I did. I asked for Charlie. It seems Nystrom routes their incoming calls to any of their offices. So asking for Charlie was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I did get one other voice mail. A very polite woman said this is Nystrom and Associates...call us back. That notion is becoming more and more rediculous. Hopefully I will finally get some help next week.

Therapist was ok didnt seem like he wanted to get to know me or what was going on in my world more like he was concerned about making sure I could be billed. They havent reached out to see why I havent come in for or re scheduled my appointments. Didnt have any problem repeatedly contacting me to pay the bill. I was really hoping for more

I have lived with my mental health states since I was born. Most of the time I had to figure out by myself how to cope with this. I decided it was time to learn some skills ones I had already learned by myself but now ones that were known to help. I have tried many treatments over the years some useful and some damaging to my brain. I decided to try learning DBT. I was not as able to count on being able to get to the training so I looked for something online. I found Nystrom and asscs. offered this service and my insurance covered it. Id heard about the Nystrom clinics before.I am halfway through a year of the training which is how they do it. You get help for a year. Its a year of group meetings with a therapist hour also each week. Its been great and very helpful. Id already figured out some of the skills and had been using them and I know I had been doing some things that were not helpful. Im very pleased with how things are going. Its all been very helpful. I have wanted to be part of a therapy group for many years and the therapist sessions run a full 60 minutes or even a little more which is much more helpful for me than 55 or 45 minute sessions. Also I had in the past been used to having a session every two weeks apparently thats the best you can hope for. Those sessions were very important to me trying to go without them was very very hard on my mental health. The group and the therapist sessions were fully focused on helping me learn to use the skills and concentrate on how Im doing. I like having these sessions they seem to be more helpful than other therapy sessions with others Ive had before. But then I didnt quite know what to ask for and they didnt always know how to give me more skills. I have been living with the illness since 1958 and they didnt always know what to do to give me more help. My nuclear family were the only people who knew I was living with a chronic illness and what it was so without talking to mental health providers I had almost no one to talk about this especially someone who had some understanding of what it was like for me. I suppose thats why I needed to see a therapist regularly. Its only been a year or so that Ive decided to be open about my issues. Im careful about when and who I share with and the experience has been great No longer wearing a mask. Being who I really am and letting myself show when things are good for me and when they are bad.People just need to hang in there as best they can and work with people who understand. The DBT program has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I feel Nystroms program is good. I had tried DBT twice before in years past and it had been nothing like this and they didnt want me in their programs. I guess they felt I wasnt that sick or other reasons like that. Their programs were nothing like the one Im in now and were not that helpful.I really recommend DBT therapy especially the program they use at Nystrom.

This clinic in New Brighton is very professional and welcoming. It was quiet and calm in the waiting room. The doctor has always been helpful and listens to my concerns and gives good advice.

Dr Shank was absolutely amazing. He was so kind and thoughtful in helping my mom w her mental health during this middle stage of Alzheimers. Really praise him for working her and I both into his appointment as I have to do a lot of her talking or prodding her memory for all of the trauma she has endured that is now becoming a struggle with the addition of Alzheimers to our family.

Arrived due to ongoing stress related to attorney misconduct related to my counsel Maslon LLP committing severe trespass to chattel and felony theft by swindle by the tune of 200k. Unfortunately since LPRB still lists Humiston as director attorneys still have free reign to exploit children i.e.MacDonald case. And based on recent failures for my NA application to log photos the fact the unnamed Nyquist Associates on-site booklist contains only a 9182019 date with no other explanation other than a continued consciousness of guilt that those employees signed off on involvingoking back in 2019 attorneys in a civil case to commit crime involving a developmentally disabled 15 going on 16 year old. I am HIPAA aware as I will drop off the evidence showing where the 9182019 date has grim significance pick up assessments that were flashed then removed from my now insecure myhealth related app and go from there and address the deception by staff if possible. Referred based as the assigned mental health facility based on my Entira clinic where I have been a patient since 2013. Reference MN Case 66-CV-19-1699 where child exploitation 2019 trespass to chattel and felony theft by swindle occurred which was main focus for initial outpatient treatment 2023 following failure by Betterhelp with MN licensed doctor to provide legally required secure confidential services.
