Nystrom & Associates - Edina Clinic

I love seeing Kimberly W. Every appointment I look forward to and enjoy in that weird way you enjoy therapy. I wish I found her sooner and I believe she is working well with me to get better.However I have had very bad experiences with Nystrom the company and was about to leave before I got connected with her. Horrible patient communication in this place I had been going in-person at the Maple Grove office but switched to telehealth only and theres some pretty unprofessional therapists I wish I never met. But Ive been going here for years so Ive put up with it.

I scheduled a number of appointments for therapy and told them that I travel all over the country for work so I needed someone who could do appointments over the phone or video calls. They told me no problem. Three weeks later the earliest appointment I could get I got on the call and told them I was in Seattle. They immediately canceled the appointment because apparently talking on the phone with me would count as practicing in Washington which they didnt have a license for. Why was this not disclosed when I told them I travel for work And who would have been hurt if they just feigned ignorance Did they think I was an undercover medical board inspector trying to discredit their staff Extremely disappointed in my brief experience here and I wasted three weeks that could have been spent finding someone who would actually work with me.

If you need to get ahold of the nurses line good luck. I called 4 times this week and each time sat on hold until the call disconnected. I even left two voicemails and never heard back. I am now without a medication for who knows how long simply because no one at Nystrom picks up the phone.This is not the first time this has happened to me and Im sure it will not be the last.Other than that I really do love my psychiatrist.

The psychiatrist Charles Saddar is absolutely wonderful. He is willing to work WITH his patients listening to our needs to find an appropriate care plan. He is kind and down to earth.Likewise Mara the psychotherapist is a great at working to find a rapport with her patients. She is encouraging yet challenges us to move forward with our goals.

Im so grateful for nystrom Jennifer Perri is incredible and has helped me so much for almost 4 years The staff is friendly respectful and kind. Ive gone to the Edina and New Brighton clinic as well as teleheath during covid. Would highly recommend nystrom to any one looking for a quality therapist.

Phone communication is just horrible. Phone tree cant get anyone long wait for call backs. We had a good associate eventually but then trying to communicate is just awful.

All of my experiences with Nystrom have been positive - both virtual and in-person appointments. The staff has been courteous and efficient. I really like their reminder system for appointments - you get a phone call a few days in advance and texts the day before and day of your appointment which makes it easy to remember when youre scheduled. Would recommend their clinics to my family and friends.

My experience has been nothing but the best. I have Charlie as my therapists and its nice to have one that listens to me and not rush through my sessions and expresses his feed back on how he feels and sees me doing. The comfort level to express honestly my feelings about me how I am doing at home as well. On occasion I have brought my husband in to talk about how he feels Im doing and he is comfortable talking about our relationship with Charlie as well. So a Five star for my care at Nystrom and I recommend it highly. Rick Nye

The staff are very friendly helpful. My therapist psychologist have made my rehabilitation so much easier. I can tell they really care about the work they do. If Im unable to make it to their office we are able to conduct our appointments over the phone or by video link sent via email. I never forget an appointment because they text reminders. Ive already suggested Nystrom to a friend.

I am very disappointed in this company and location. I had set up my first appointment with them not too long ago and was supposed to go in a few weeks. Without anyone contacting me they had cancelled my appointment. Even after calling them myself to try and figure out why it was cancelled without contacting me I still do not know. They were not able to tell me. How could I trust to talk about personal things with someone at a company who cant even give me basic communication about my appointment. These things can be extremely difficult for some people to set up. The fact that you just willingly cancel a persons appointment and did not contact them before hand is very unprofessional. All this is doing is discouraging people more from getting the help they may need. I do not recommend Nystrom Associates after this experience.
