Ive been coming here for 18 years from my oldest to youngest and Im Fed up with them One of the front desk ladies was rude because we sat in the front waiting to be seen. We were early but they only had 3 in the back and an empty parking lot. One of the ladies lied after me asking how much longer is it going to take she said the doctor was on lunch. I told her knew better then she tried another lie saying the rooms were being cleaned. Another lie Hate this place and miss all the ladies that worked there when my boys were little.

Not happy at all with them. They recently started offering telehealth but are picky about what its for. I read the whole list making sure my sons symptoms were on there accepted list for tela health. They where so I called only for the rude desk girl get snippy with me because I said he had a fever Friday night but doesnt anymore thats why I am calling for a tela health. That he just had a cough she still told me no. I knew the time I was calling the office would be booked. If your going to control what you see your patients for on tela health you might want to learn whats on the list. FEVER is on there along with lots of other symptoms sooooo please explain why my son cant be seen for a tela health call.

By far the WORST doctors experiences weve ever had for myself and for my children. We recently moved to the area in August and I had a baby in September. I liked that this practice had multiple office locations and appeared to have some good reviews. When we arrived for our newborns first visit we waited 45 minutes to be called back into a room. The doctor came in and spent less than 5 minutes in the room with us. She was judgmental of us when we said we were waiting to vaccinate our newborn. She gave no guidance on what to look for or what to expect yes this is our second child but our previous pediatrician explained everything as he was doing it so that is what I was expecting for care with this practice. We then had to wait another 30 minutes to check out and schedule his next appointment which was 2 days later. Next visit comes around and again 30 minute wait to be called back for less than 5 minutes of the doctors time with an additional 30 minute wait to check out. I asked other parents in line if this was common to have to wait this long. They said no so we gave them another chance. We came back a third time and same thing. I then needed to get my 2year old a Florida physical for daycare so we scheduled with this office since they already had the paperwork for him. We walked in 8 minutes after his appointment time getting 2under 2 ready and out the door with a 30 minute drive is quite the task some days. The office has a 20 minute late cancellation policy. The line was to the door and I waited in line 30 minutes to check in. When I got to the desk they said I was too late for his appointment and that we had to reschedule. I let the staff know I was inside only 8 minutes and had been waiting in the line. Another person in the office had to speak up and say yes they were waiting for some time. Only then did they agree that they would see my kid for his physical. He had a different doctor than my newborn and she was better asked detailed questions and wanted to learn more about him but likely only for the physical. After all of my experiences I would never be able to recommend this place to anyone. I have since switched to a different practice and even they acknowledged that they have had quite a few families switch due to poor quality of care. Avoid this place at all cost

Great place Never really much of a wait and they treat my son so well and are very understanding with his fear of the doctors office. Love that they open Monday-Sunday and they got after hours calls in case you got a question that cant wait for the next day. I definitely would and have recommended this doctors office.

Dr. Barbosa Dr. MJ and Dr. Rivera have treated my newborn and myself with such care and compassion have comforted me while Ive been crying scared and hormonal. They make me feel incredibly at ease during each appointment for my baby boy. They always assure me that were doing a great job and that my child is thriving. As a brand new parent this is so incredibly important to experience. The front office staff have always been pleasant to me as well Thank you for all that you do.

Wendy the office manager here is terrible without my authorization she discharged all 4 of my kids after 13 years of going here she refuses to solve problems and it shows by looking at previous reviews that mention Wendy doing the same thing she did to me and my family. Once things get more serious with your childs health it seems like there is no resolution but them not dealing with it at all clicking phone conversations. Thank goodness UF was able to help us as quickly as they have so we can finally start getting real answers about my childs health issues. Wendy you need to either go back to school and retrain yourself on patient care especially when you are dealing with the health of a child in your hands AND ARE SUPPOSEDLY A OFFICE MANAGER but you wont because you do not care you are in the wrong field. She closes the office earlier than said time on the website. I am actually happy we no longer go there and since I am someone who is very routine I have seen the signs to change offices due to the instability of good nurse practitioners not staying longer than year but I stayed and now this is how I was treated and most importantly my daughter who is 3 and sick.

My child was refused an rsv test and was told he was too old for it and then told me his strep was negative. Next day he ran a fever of 103 took him to the hospital and guess what he has RSV AND STREP was also told there was no way his strep was negative and they most definitely should have tested him for rsv as he had all the symptoms. The incompetence and laziness of this place is astonishing and I will be switching practices.

Incompetent Drs. My four month old has been having coughing fits and I asked for albuterol and she insisted that because shes not wheezing she would only give me saline. Literal salt water. Im not sure what that will help with since the congestion is in her chest not her nose. She has been coughing all night and when I try to nurse her. Definitely not going back here. Ill go to a Dr that actually listens to the patientparent. Also there is slimy mildew in the bathroom faucet so how is that even cleaning anyones hands

Please go somewhere else. I gave this office three chances. I shouldnt have given them a second. NP Cheryl A. Had the worst attitude with me letting me know I had only waited 30 minutes. Which I understood but I was there for a second round of shots for my child. I let her know I have a right to ask approx how long. She rolled her eyes into her computer. Didnt introduce herself. Stormed out of the room after I said something and said I needed a new provider. I found out through the front desk who the NP was. As a patient we come in for child care needs. Not for providers to give us attitude when we are already worrying about our child needssickness. No apology from this disgusting behavior. Theyve given me other problems regarding scheduling as well. Very sad.

Obviously not an office with heart. I called before I came up to see if they allowed walk-in patients and was told yes. Once I arrived with 3 kids in tow...

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy rooted in the science of learning and behavior. Using principles of ABA, children and adults can learn to improve their communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills while also addressing problematic or challenging behaviors. The primary goal of ABA therapy is to teach helpful skills that promote independence and reduce harmful behaviors. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.
It's a big decision to make for your family! Applied behavior analysis (ABA) seeks to improve communication skills, introduce productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors. Watch out for ABA providers who look to "cure" autism.
High quality ABA therapy does exist where the goal is not to “fix” children, make them appear “less autistic”, or change who they are. The goal is to help people learn all that they can so they can live to their potential while embracing their unique, individual personality traits. Here's our complete guide to start and end ABA therapy.
ABA is usually covered by insurance if you have an autism diagnosis. Autism is typically the only diagnosis insurance will authorize for ABA services since its benefits have been researched extensively.
Always check with your specific insurance plan to confirm that ABA is covered for your child’s diagnoses and that the provider you are seeking care at is in-network. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.
Autism-friendly camps come in all shapes and sizes, making it easier for you to find the one that best suits your needs. An autism-friendly camp may come in the form of a day camp, meaning you drop your child off in the morning and pick them up later that afternoon, or as an overnight camp. The camp programs can range in length from a few days to a few weeks. The campers that attend autism-friendly camps may be autistic only or a mixture of neurotypical and neurodivergent kids. When it comes to support for your child, some camps offer 1:1 support while others have a higher camper-to-counselor ratio.
When choosing the perfect camp for your child there are five key things you should keep in mind:
Interests: What does your child like to do? A sports camp probably wouldn’t be a good fit for your little bookworm. Finding the right summer camp that sparks your child’s excitement will aid in transitioning to and from camp, while also ensuring they enjoy their experience.
Professional Support: How much support does your child need? A traveling camp may not be best for your child who tends to elope. Some camps offer 1:1 support for your child, while others may have a higher camper-to-counselor ratio. When looking for a camp, pay close attention to those ratios to ensure there is adequate support for your child’s unique needs.
Specializations: Does the camp specialize in a specific area? If your child is nonverbal and the camp has excellent experience working with nonverbal children, it may be the perfect fit!
Responsiveness and Accommodations: Pay special attention to camps that meet with you one-on-one either by phone, video chat, or in person, to mark out a personalized support plan for your child. You can relax knowing they’re on top of things and making sure your child is properly supported. Don’t be afraid to ask tons of questions —a great camp will welcome them!
Location and Commitment: Not many people like a long commute. You know your child’s comfort level better than anyone else, so you’ll know what’s best for them, whether it’s a half-day camp, a full day, or an overnight experience.
