Nicklaus Children's Hospital - Gladys M. & Frederick Stewart Pediatric Care Center

I came to the hospital seeking assistance after a stressful and scary day with my child. Upon arrival I was surprised that I had to actively grab the attention of the greeters at the door. It was disheartening to see them preoccupied with their phones each time I walked by needing their help. I felt frustrated that I had to seek them out for help which made my experience quite unpleasant at the start. It would be beneficial to know more about their roles and responsibilities as their behavior was unacceptable. I would appreciate knowing more about their job descriptions and who their management is as it seemed there was obviously a huge ongoing lack of supervision.Despite this initial experience I want to express my gratitude to the security team for their outstanding assistance and warmth. They truly made my visit more comfortable and welcoming. The security personnel at the entrance were exceptional - so kind and helpful from start to finish. Their helpfulness embodies the ideal employee behavior. Not only did I feel safe but cared about as well. I could just tell they had a great role modeltraining or job experience in general. THIS IS HOW EVERY EMPLOYEE SHOULD MAKE YOU FEEL especially at a hospital. I wish I could remember their names for the recognition and I hope they see this.Overall while there were some major challenges and disappointments with the greeters at the start of my visit the assistance from the security team truly made a difference in my visit and changed everything around for me. Thank you so much.

My daughter had some issues with her back and we were getting conflicting information from other doctors. We were finally referred here and it was so refreshing They absolutely make you feel comfortable. They are confident and everyone is A. Im a medical professional myself so my standards are high and they meet them all Thank you for treating my daughter like your own

At 220 PM on February 1 2024 I reached out to the Orthopedic Department to schedule an appointment. Throughout my interaction with the front office staff there was a noticeable display of impatience and an unfriendly tone. Despite my slight confusion about where to seek assistance for my condition the staff abruptly hung up on me during our conversation failing to offer any guidance or assistance. While I understand they may be handling numerous calls and encountering challenges my previous experiences with hospital staff have generally been positive until this incident. This serves as a cautionary note for others to be mindful and consider avoiding the Orthopedic Department of this hospital.

Update- - check your billing statements from your insurance. This place is trying to scam our insurance and us by charging 2 office visits and 2 X-rays. We were there 1 day and only did 1 X-ray. When you call Nicklaus childrens billing department they give you a very dishonest story as to why they are trying to charge you twice. - So its 1 visit but they are charging you the doctor visit and the facility visit. And it was 1 X-ray but they are charging you for someone to take the X-ray and then charging you for the doctor to review the X-ray.This place is very shady and dishonest do not come here.If you have a Orthopedic Appointment at Nicklaus Childrens hospital prepare to wait 3 hours after your appointment to even get into the doctors room. Yep 3 hours after your appointment you will be sent back. They have signs here saying- if you are 30 minutes late for your appointment you Will be rescheduled for the next available day- they are hilarious. If you complain and ask for a supervisor then you can skip the few people in front of you. I dont know about the hospital part but the Orthopaedic office is ridiculous. You leave the main waiting room to a hallway to wait some more. Avoid this location for Orthopaedic at all cost. 3 hourssssss after your appointment time.Yep next time Im complaining the lady who did left 1 12 hours ago.

Ive been bringing my daughter to this hospital for over a year. She sees a specialist here and also Ill bring her here in case of emergencies. The nurses CNAs are relatively nice but the surgeons not so much not very friendly a little rude. The healthcare workers may give you pushback but As a parent you have to advocate for your children. Building is always clean there are many amenities here at the hospital which comes in handy win you have to have a long stay. One thing that I really didnt like is something biting me my child while sleeping in the blue tower I dont know if it is the pull out couch or the sheets but something Has to be done before there is an outbreak or maybe it has already happened. You guys have to do something about that.

We had a wonderful experience with every individual at this hospital. I can honestly say that I have zero complaints. My son had surgery here in the minor procedure suite wing and everything went smoothly which made a stressful situation less stressful.

This is the 2nd time I have visited this hospital. The first time I left unattended after 2 hours in the room. Today I tried again and to my surprise the result was the same. Do not risk your sons life and health by wasting your time in this hospital. There are other options. This hospital 2 times in a row failed me and my family. Shame on you Nicklaus Childrens Hospital.

They took really good care of my son when I came in last week Thursday at the er they acted fast at the nurses acted fast as well with my son. I am so glad they did everything for my son to feel better and the ICU they are the best. Thank you for taking care of my son while he was there. I really appreciate everybody that take care of my son you guys are the best I really appreciate that my son Sebastian

If I could give no stars I would this hospitalspecific department would be psych unit floor 2 my son was in it because of grieving and lost a lot of weight . But because I didnt allow them to lab rat my son with about 5 different medications with in 3 days they called cps on me claiming I neglected my son and his medical needs a joke well Im sorry but chemicals that have long term health effects wont be in my childs body. The only medication he needs short term is antidepressantsgrieving people handle grieving in unique ways . My son is fine and is talking to me expressing himself which is key .You guys failed my son and thats why I took him out he needs grief counseling and therapy.Get it together and learn the kids history and know there symptoms and if a child shuts down because hes grieving it doesnt mean he has schizophrenia Do not go to this specific department they will try to categorize ur kids with multiple different conditions that dont even make sense that u need symptoms for unprofessional people

My son was transferred to this hospital as he needed a pediatric doctor to look at him and rouble out an apendicitis. Got there 2ish am this morning and everyone was very helpful and kind. The place was clean and well equipped. The only issue was the wait to be seen by a doctor 6 hours maybe thats the standard wait time but not if youre so worried about your kid landing in the emergency room of a hospital.Special thanks to the transfer unit who were the very best
