Worst place to go to for mental health. The doctor gave me medications with no guide on how to safely take them. Had 2 panic attacks that Ive never had before from the meds and the doctor had an attitude when confronted about it. They dont even start on low doses to test your reaction towards the medication. I refuse to go back there after that experience.

This place is a great starting point to get your mental health in check but if you can afford better do so. I cannot so Im stuck with them. The doctors all vary in quality from really good to feeling like youre being medically gaslit. The nurse hotline is mostly ineffective. They rarely call you back in time so you have to just waste gas to go up there. The call center people just do what they can probably receiving the worst attitude because of incompetent work done here. They also close up shop at 430 not 5 so thats a lie in itself.

This place is very unprofessional 12yrs ago when my mother was going through depression. A counselor there told my mother she thinks my mother is on street drugs. My mother kept the experience to herself and told me years later what happened and I was disgusted. My mother is a home maker and barely goes anywhere. Making personal judgements about people is not psychology and it is very unprofessional.

My mother goes to this place and not by choice but because unfortunately there isnt but a couple of places that people that are poor on Medicaid and Medicare can go. They make her do without her medication that she is physically dependent on. She has been sick for over a week now. Its really sad Ive been been calling and leaving messages for them to call me to get her some medicine and never get called back.

This place is supposed to help people a month after getting a referral they still had not reached out. Even with us calling them. When they did finally reach out they said they would call that day to schedule a TB test so we could start therapy sessions... a week later and still no call. How do you expect to help people if you refuse to pick up the phone for people who are pleading for help. If there was another facility that helped with cocainesubstance abuse I guarantee this facility would close

I cannot schedule a routine appts for my boys to meet with their doctor bc apparently he has taken the obligation of servicing his colleagues clients. Dont get me wrong Im all for team work but when YOUR established clients are unable to even obtain an appt is just ridiculous Ive been told to call back on a particular day. If its thats serious I guess Ill be looking for services rendered elsewhere because my kids are my priority their needs MUST be met

I am posting this review to warn people of this establishment ive been going years and the downfall of the place is heartbreaking to a long time patient. In 2017 the state of New Horizons is quite poor no longer can you get an appointment to actually see a doctor you have to be a walk in and thats if they have a provider there because honestly on some days walk ins cant get to the provider in fact the providers are barely there. As of this past Wednesday 9132017 and today 9152017 I was completely out of medication and turned away due to on Wednesday they had no provider in for walk ins Which mind you they do not tell you about until you arrive there or expect you to know by the signs taped to their walls that most people walk past without a second glance so on the day in question we were told there were no providers for walk ins however there were scheduled appointments which they had not told us were a possibility you have to be eligible for an appointment apparently. I had no knowledge of this we were told to come back Friday today and so we did We had signed in as number 15 on the sign in sheet and were suddenly kicked out because the provider was only going to see 7 patients today me and my grandmother asked what to do about my medicine but were met with responses of pharmacies know our situation talk to them or we can only see 7 patients today and in response I said they do not care but the secretary said they do care it does not ring true if an entire room of patients must leave and they may all have been in my situation no medicine and barely able to make it there in the first place. This is unacceptable for a medical establishment seeking to help individuals who suffer from mental illness and other such conditions its a shame that patients like me and several others are turned away with not even a care to what may happen to us when we leave due to their lack of caring and providers that can help these people. I hope they get their act together but to fellow patients if you call a supervisor you will get the treatment you need so there is a solution here I recommend calling the numbers listed on their wall it may just get you your medication and an actual guaranteed visit until you can find elsewhere to get your needs met properly. Everyone in the same boat as me at the mercy of these people have my prayers sent your way and thank you for reading.
