This place has for the most part been good to us. If I was to give individual stars I would give 5 starts to Christine. She is an amazing therapist very professional but still caring understanding and will work well with you. She goes above and beyond to make sure your kids needs are met. If you ever want to request a therapist push to get Christine for your kid. Bronson too was great though we had him for a very short time. The worst one we had is Dayna. She never cared at all. She didnt care to communicate with us what the schedule was almost always came late no apologies whatsoever timed her commanding and rushed sessions. Overall she was very uncaring. One of our scheduled sessions she cancelled and didnt care enough to tell us herself. We found out through another therapist for our kid 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment that Dayna mentioned she wasnt coming with no word on when the next appointment would be. That was January and we have never heard from her since. Avoid Dayna at all costs. Planning on going in to talk to her supervisors about her and hoping they can give us a new therapist.
So I wish the people I dealt with were memorable enough that I would remember their names however one of them was a supervisor or someone in charge and she was void of personality customer service and common sense. So I had to work and do a photo audit at the Dunkin donuts right next to this building and unfortunately that day was the day that I was headed out of town I was moving away from Vegas so I had a Penske moving truck 16 ft and a car transporter trailer with my vehicle already secured to it. From the looks of the parking lot it seemed like I wouldnt have any trouble exiting the parking lot well I was dead wrong there was no outlet and a clearance I was not going to be able to make it under I attempted to back the truck out but was unable so last resort was to call the main office and see if anyone had a key to open the small access gate in the back of the parking lot it was my only shot at exiting the lot. I was very friendly and apologetic about the mistake and told them to take their time and I appreciated every second of their time.... Well despite all my effort to be sorry and nice the manager still made all the effort in the world to work against me and not help me solve the simple problem I even offered to replace the lock had it been cut she said absolutely they are a just facility and I needed to leave the property all with a creepy smile on her face and I guess cat had her tongue anytime I spoke to her because she wouldnt respond only with a creepy smile before walking away. Typical Vegas resident attitude and exactly the reason why I was on my way out. Finally a guy from maintenance came and cut the lock off for me it was that simple. I later found out that instead of helping me they had called the police on me as if to scare me but jokes on them because police would have just cut the lock and did what she could have done without wasting their time... Good riddance Vegas it was not pleasurable being a resident.
Amazing receptionist amazing providers and I can not emphasize enough how great they all are.
My daughter was a nicu baby spent 38 days in nicu the therapist at the hospital told me they wanted me to do therapy with them I met someone named Joanna and the first couple months were excellent after my baby started sitting up and doing stuff on her own I would be downed of the things Id do with my own child and would have days I would get super busy or have a emergency come up and she would get very upset and text me back to back to back even tho I told her I wouldnt be able to do it today I also work a full time job as a front desk receptionist at a Dr office and my husband also works and she was not understanding what so ever all she was about was exiting my daughter from the program I 100 percent do not recommend this place for your kids and if you do come do not let Joanna be your therapist. This was absolutely the worst experience ever wish I could give it less stars
We started early intervention when my daughter was just 4 months old. At first they were really good. They helped her with the delays she had early on. Then as she got older they didnt do much. The lady just came to my house and talked to us instead of interacting with my daughter. She was suppose to get occupational therapy every 3 months but something always happened with their scheduling and in 9 months she only seen my daughter once I asked about speech and getting tested for autism and the lady said my daughter wouldnt qualify. I had to go back to our pediatrician to get a referral for speech since early intervention wouldnt do an evaluation. She goes to Speech occupational and physical once a week now out of another company. She also failed her autism screening when your company told she didnt need any of that Come to find out our specialist was quitting and just didnt want to do the paperwork. Then we never were contacted to schedule with someone new after she quit. But honestly with the company not wanting to listen to me or want to work with my daughter. Im not interested in going back.
Nevada Early Intervention Services has been nothing but wonderful for my child. They offer a wide range of services that you can take advantage of as well as guide you to services offered outside of their office. They are caring and helpful and just all around great. If you have any concerns about the development of your child I highly recommend going through NEIS. They have helped my child grow so much Thank you
The teachers are amazing. Very serious organization which will definitely help your child for free.Free doesnt mean bad I have very good experience with the group.Need to mention they are very organized always picking up the phone and being ready to help. Thank you guys. My review is the least I can do showing my gratitude.
This is a waste of government funding program. I just wanted to warn all the parents out there. I am a medical student Im going to be a pediatrician soon. My daughter has failed the audiology test in one of her ear at the hospital so we want to try out this new program. Let me tell you I wasnt there because I have intern. They scared my husband half to death by diagnosed my daughter w all kind of wrong. They speak to me on the phone and telling me I need to take my daughter back to their clinic every 3 wks for therapy my baby is 1 month old I refused to come back to them and went to seek for second opinion. My daughter is now 5 months old healthy and have no ear problems or anything wrong w her brain. Do not let them turn your baby into the genuine pig even if your baby wasnt deaf they will be after all the tests they run and poke in their ears. They keep patients coming back so they can get funding from state.
Im so happy from birth my daughters been here Im sad to transition but everyone is making it as simple as can be Keisha her developmental therapist is the best person whos come Into me and my familys life She coaches us in so Many different areas and doesnt make me feel like less of a parent but makes me feel proud and always says what a great mom I am Stephanie in speech thanks so much Mya truly adores you and our family does too thanks for all you do My daughter has benefited so much from the structure and consistency and written plans for her success ... shes using their programs for speech and developmental and they are transitioning her From day on the compassion has been there thanks to all of you her birth defect isnt heavy on my mind its something together we are working on everyday I highly recommend their services even if you think your child is better off or your a parent you can do it. I have a background in early childhood I was a teacher for years but there were many things I needed help and guidance with and I took the help and again thanks so much
our son was diagnosed with autism in October 2015 it has been very hard on us. we started working with NEIS a couple months before that he has come such a long way. Our case worker MJ is very good with him and Miss Pam helps so much with her 3x weekly visits. He has started to communicate with us thru sign language with the help of this outstanding team. our sons success has a huge part to do with the awesome people in this department their love for children learning development grow.
Frequently Asked Questions
“Early Intervention” might be the provider’s way of describing services that they provide to babies or young children. However, it might also indicate that the provider is a vendor for your state’s publicly funded program. This means the services with this provider might be covered by your state!
The first step in accessing these free services from your state is to get an evaluation. The evaluation will help the state determine what services your child qualifies for, if any. You can find your state’s local EI program by clicking here.
When you contact your local center, say “I have concerns about my child’s development and I would like to have my child evaluated to find out if they are eligible for early intervention services.” They will ask screening questions and arrange for an evaluation, which is provided for free.
