I am a COPAA(Council of Parent Attorney's and Advocates) certified Special Education Advocate. 13 years ago my journey started in the world of special education with my own child. I experienced my own district lead me to believe that they were providing my child everything that he required to succeed in his education. That is until I brought my own advocate to an IEP meeting and realized that the district had failed my child. Several years ago I completed the year long Special Education Advocacy Training course (SEAT) through COPAA. Since then, I have been blessed to assist many families through the IEP process and educate them at the same time. Our children deserve a brighter future. My mission is to assist parents in the IEP process by helping them interpret assessment scores, appropriate goals and appropriate services. I am not a licensed attorney and any advice that is given is to be interpreted as my opinion and not legal advice. If at any time I feel that a client requires legal advice, I have a great relationship with a special education law office that I will refer to those families.
