Dr. Higgins is an AMAZING doctor. He not only treats the patient he truly cares about the overall health of the patient as well. He spends time with the patient without rushing. I am so happy we found him after trying so many other psychiatrists. He was recommended to us by a counsellor.The office staff are very nice quick polite and responsive. He does virtual -zoom visits and its perfectly fine. Dr. Higgins DOES NOT palm the patients off to a nurse practitioner which we experienced with every other place we tried. Highly Recommend Dr. Higgins.

Find a different doctor. I went to this doctor to have my 10 year old daughter examined for suspicions of ADHD. First visit was a virtual one. I was assuming this was cause of Covid. But every follow up was also virtual. He was quick to diagnose her with it and prescribe her medication. The fact that he never saw her in person and made every appointment a virtual one made me suspicious. I called my insurance and asked about the type of visits he was doing and I was told by my insurance that he was billing me wrong. He was charging me for an actual office visit when it should have been filed as tele health. Stay away from this doctor.

I am a colleague of Dr. Napoleon Higgins. I highly respect him. I would trust my family members in his care. I refer patients that are out of my scope of practice because I believe that he does good work. I highly recommend him as a psychiatrist Medical Doctor.

Dr. H is a great psychiatrist and a credit to his profession with an impeccable resume . Patients are in good hands when the it comes to their mental health care. Without a doubt the doctor comes highly recommended.

Ive known of Dr. Higgins a colleague for many years and he is well respected in the community of general and childadolescent psychiatrists in the GalvestonHouston area. I have an appointment scheduled for my son with him for next week and I know he is in good hands. Im offended and appalled by the implications that Dr. Higgins is an affirmative action doctor from disgruntled reviewers. Affirmative action does not pass standardized testing throughout medical school and residency including USMLE 12 and 3 exams nor does a physician successfully complete residency and a specialized fellowship training and become board certified because of any special considerations based on race. These accomplishments are attained by his or her own merits. Most doctors practice the standard of care instead of running a pill mill for controlled substances. Its astonishing that anyone would resort to name-calling by calling this doctor a beast a con man and product of affirmative action. Its shameful for anyone to play the race card when dissatisfied with services that have nothing to do with race. Your review was reported.

This is the absolute worst excuse for a psychiatrist Ive ever seen. This is what affirmative action brings to medical practice. I made an appointment with him because he was the only one that had an appointment available which I should have known was a bad sign. He had openings where others didnt because he was such a terrible excuse for a doctor. When you get there his office waiting room is covered with some scam diet herbal program hes pimping off on his patients. You know that is great ethics to start off with. He collects the payment before he sees you because Im sure many people have found him useless and walked out because he truly doesnt earn his money so hes got to rob you before you get in there.Two weeks before I saw him my house had caught fire and I had watched my home and everything I owned burn and lost some some of our pets in the tragedy. I was working at a hospital and they were just so happens having fire inspections that month and fire alarms were going off everywhere. I was having extreme panic attacks and sought medical help. This man just flat our refused to treat acute panic and only wanted to pass out antidepressants. I did medical transcription for years and for psychiatric hospitals so I recognized his questionnaire. The only thing he did in our visit was go down a list of questions and barely even look up and make eye contact with his patient. The list of drugs he was offering take 6 to 8 weeks to become effective and were medically inappropriate to treat the acute panic I was suffering at the time but thats all he was willing to offer and told me I was free to leave as he had already collected his fee. He was cold and uncaring and I would hate to see someone seek this beasts care if they were suicidal. And I shudder to think he has access to treat a child. I would take my dog to this con man. I took his prescription and all it did was make me gain 25 pounds. This man is not a help to patients hes actually harmful. Stay away from him.

I didnt find Dr Higgins to be an exceptionally personable Doctor. He was always professional and knows how to do his job with respect to prescription of medications. Dont expect much talk therapy but many psychiatrists dont do that anymore either. Many psychiatrists these days just prescribe. I prefer more talk and building better rapport with a psychiatrist through talking. Not as warm a person as I would prefer but maybe my expectations are too high based on my experience with psychiatrists before and after Dr Higgins. After about 5 or 6 months I took my business elsewhere since my daughter recommended a new psychiatrist who she said was very caring and that proved to be the case. Contrary to several other reviews i did not find the office staff to be objectionable they were always nice to me.

Staff had the worst attitude. From phone calls to in person interactions. Lack of customer service skills would normally be a deal breaker for me but I stuck around for a bit long. After all we have our bad days rightWell after about 4-5 visits I was done. Never mind the staff Dr. Higgins is not compassionate at all. I felt like a cattle going through his office. I explained about my issues with anxiety and he disregarded it.Please take your business else where. There are plenty of great Doctors in and around Houston. Trust me it would be night and day compared to Dr. Higgins and his office.

My experience with Dr. Higgins and his professional practice was an excellent one. He comes highly recommended has a prestigious reputation around Houston. Making an appointment was stress-free and the office environment was comfortable and discreet.

The. most undorofessional doctor I have ever had experience with. Never caked back with blood work results. Does not give you the medicine previous doctor prescribed for severe panic disorder for my mother. She was. Or resting. He just wrote a script for me that made me sick and didnt seem to even care about me as an individual. Doctors take oaths to treat them as individuals. Worst medical experience of my life. No Just say no
