Introduction

Hi! I'm Nadia, a pediatric occupational therapist based in Torrance, California, and I love helping children build confidence through play, meaningful experiences, and individualized support. I work with children ages 1 to 22 using a play-based, strengths-focused, and holistic approach. My experience includes autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, neurological conditions, school readiness, picky eating, and pediatric bowel and bladder health. I believe parents and caregivers are essential members of the therapy team, and I'm passionate about collaborating with families to make therapy both effective and enjoyable. I am currently full time as an Occupational Therapist at a school district, servicing children within Special Education!

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Empathetic
Patient
Fun
The three words I'd use to describe myself are empathetic, patient, and fun. I strive to understand each child and family with compassion while meeting them where they are in their journey. I know that progress looks different for every child, so I celebrate small victories and remain patient through challenges. I also believe children learn best when they're engaged and enjoying themselves, so I incorporate creativity, play, and humor into my sessions to make therapy feel motivating, meaningful, and something children genuinely look forward to.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I'm best positioned to support children ages 1 to 22 who benefit from a collaborative, family-centered approach to occupational therapy. I especially enjoy working with children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, neurological conditions, picky eating, school readiness needs, and pediatric bowel and bladder challenges, including potty training, constipation, and daytime or nighttime wetting. I'm not the best fit for families seeking a one-size-fits-all approach or expecting therapy to happen only during sessions, as I believe meaningful progress comes through partnership, education, and carryover at home. I prefer beginning sessions in person first before moving fully online, just to build better in-person rapport with kiddos and families. I am open to full virtual sessions if this fits the needs of families best/ due to distance issues.

    Beaming Review

Nadia is wonderful to work with! She never says no to a task, always brings an open mindset and positive energy, and is eager to try new things. Many colleagues across disciplines, including other special ed teachers, SLPs, and PTs, love working with her, and I've never heard a single complaint. I would absolutely refer patients and family members to her!
