About My Left Foot Children’s Therapy - North Las Vegas
At My Left Foot Children’s Therapy, our mission is to make a real difference in the life of each child who walks through our doors. When we opened, seventeen years ago, in 2004, we had the modest goal of helping a handful of children lead happier and more fulfilling lives. Today we provide life-changing therapy to 1000 children every week! This amazing achievement is due to our unwavering focus on providing our patients with the absolute best therapy possible. We ensure that every child who comes to My Left Foot Children’s Therapy receives the absolute highest quality of therapy, by being extremely selective about the therapists we invite to join our team. We only hire the very best pediatric therapists, which is why our patients receive the very best therapy! In addition, because we believe that kids should be able to enjoy every aspect of their childhood, we only hire extremely kind and compassionate therapists, with positive attitudes and great personalities, who love kids and know how to make therapy fun, so that all of our patients absolutely love coming to therapy! We want therapy at My Left Foot Children’s Therapy to be something that our patients look forward to, something that not only makes their lives better in the long-run, but also makes their lives better (and happier) now.

BEWARE of this place, they used to be good until about 8 months ago when they changed administrations, they came up with crazy policies, their staff is not well training (and they blame it on the fact that they have a big employee rotation, meaning employees don't lat long) they will cancel on you at any giving time but if you need to cancel for any reason they will penalize you. We stop service with them back in October 2023 after a very rude agent called us. After that we started looking for a new therapy place and once we found one we learned that MLF needed to sign a release paperwork so the new place will be able to bill the insurance. This process took more than 20 calls and needing to jump many hoops. First they apparently have no clue of what is was talking about, once I brought up the legal facts they then knew what I was talking about. I was bounced back and forth until I talked to Jade, Mandy and Mindy we supposedly knew what they were doing. They DIDN"T

Understanding and responding to questions
Discerning facial expressions and their corresponding emotions
Noticing and understanding body language
Feeding and swallowing
Stuttering
The occupational therapy process includes an OT evaluation before care starts. Here are the four steps your family can expect when starting occupational therapy:
Complete OT evaluation. An occupational therapist first identifies your strengths and needs through a thorough OT evaluation, also known as an OT assessment or screening. You’ll answer questions about you your skills, and you will most likely demonstrate these skills via hands-on activities with the therapist. Evaluations can last 30 minutes to a couple hours.
Approve OT plan. The therapist develops a care plan with individualized goals and customized interventions based on your needs. You can also share any specific goals or concerns before approving the OT plan.
Start therapy sessions. The therapist works directly with you, using various strategies and exercises to systematically improve areas of limitations and to build upon your strengths. If there are others part of your care team, the therapist may teach strategies for supporting your individualized needs at home and may recommend tools and techniques to use at home, in the community, or in the classroom to help you thrive.
Monitor your progress. You can expect ongoing progress monitoring and communication to ensure you're achieving your short and long-term goals.
The price of swim lessons can vary depending on where you live and what sort of program you decide to enroll your child in. A group lesson at a public pool may cost as little as $10 per lesson while a one-on-one lesson at a private pool may cost upwards of $100 per lesson.
Community centers often offer discounts to local residents, and most YMCAs offer sliding-scale fees based on your family’s household income. If you have more than one child, many swim programs offer discounts for enrolling siblings together.
