About Ms. Patricia Freeze
I attend ARD/IEP meetings and 504 meetings with parents and help them work collaboratively with schools to obtain the services their child needs. I vigorously defend the rights of children who have been bullied. I have been successful in advocating at MDR meetings for students who have been accused of violating the student code of conduct and are facing suspension, expulsion, or transfer to an alternative educational setting. I am certified in Special Education Advocacy through William and Mary Law School’s PELE Clinic. I follow the COPAA Voluntary Code of Ethics. I have a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. I attended the College of the Mainland alternative teacher certification program and focused on English Language Arts and Reading, grades 4-8. For many years before becoming a full time Advocate in 2014, I worked as a litigation paralegal, and still occasionally perform paralegal duties for special education attorneys.
