My experience at Mountain Shadows wasnt just about facing negativity from colleagues regarding my LGBTQ family. Management was unhelpful and provided no support whatsoever. When I addressed this discrimination by citing relevant state laws it only created friction with management. It appeared they used a legal loophole to terminate me. I kept detailed records of everything. The subsequent threats and termination were a direct consequence of my stand against discrimination.Its important for people to be aware of discriminatory behavior that may be subtle or disguised both from colleagues and management. Such actions hidden by the company can be very harmful and need to be brought to light.
