Monica B Proud, MD - Friendswood

Dr. Proud grew up in South Florida and received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. She attended medical school in Washington, D.C. at Georgetown University School of Medicine. After medical school, she completed her residencies in Pediatrics and Child Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. After training she became assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine and for over a decade treated countless children with neurologic and developmental conditions at Texas Children’s Hospital and the Texas Children’s Hospital Autism Center. Additionally, she engaged in research with a strong focus on Autism and other developmental conditions. Dr Proud is excited to join the Houston Area Pediatric Neurology team and continue to provide quality neurologic care to children in her community. She is proficient at treating conditions including headache, seizure, epilepsy, movement disorders, tics, Autism, developmental delay, and ADHD.
