Introduction
Hi! I’m Minhee Choi, a licensed pediatric occupational therapist with over 7 years of experience supporting children and families throughout the South Bay and Westside of Los Angeles. I work with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children in their homes, schools, and community settings, helping them build confidence, independence, and success in everyday life.
My approach is play-based, relationship-driven, and family-centered. I believe children make the greatest progress when they feel connected, understood, and supported in their natural environments. Rather than focusing solely on milestones, I focus on helping children participate more fully in the activities that matter most to them and their families.
I have experience supporting children with sensory processing differences, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, self-regulation challenges, and difficulties with everyday routines. I value collaboration and work closely with families, teachers, and other providers to ensure children feel supported across all environments. By embedding therapy into natural routines and daily experiences, I help families create practical strategies that lead to meaningful, lasting change beyond our sessions.
My goal is to help children feel capable, connected, and successful in their everyday lives by building confidence through small, meaningful moments of progress. I look forward to partnering with families to support each child’s journey toward greater independence and full participation in the activities that matter most!
What words would you use to describe yourself?
I would describe myself as playful, collaborative, and attuned because these qualities naturally guide how I show up in my work with children and families. Play brings energy, connection, and motivation into each session, helping children feel comfortable and engaged. Collaboration keeps therapy grounded in teamwork, with strong partnerships between families, educators, and providers to support consistent progress across environments. Attunement allows for careful reading of each child’s cues, needs, and strengths in the moment, making it possible to adjust support so each child feels understood, regulated, and successful in their own way.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
Best positioned to serve are infants, toddlers, and school-aged children who benefit from support with sensory processing, self-regulation, developmental delays, school readiness, or challenges with participation in daily routines. Strong fit includes families seeking a collaborative, play-based approach that integrates therapy into home, school, and community settings. Children who need help building confidence, independence, and foundational skills for learning, play, and social engagement tend to thrive in this type of support. Families who value ongoing communication, practical strategies, and consistent teamwork across caregivers and educators are especially well aligned with this approach.
