Mile Square Health Center - Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)

Ive had very good multiple experiences at UI miles square urgent care. They have been professional kind caring and thorough with my 3 kids. They were excellent with my husband. Wait times did vary but it was still quicker than the Er. Facility was clean even before pandemic. They try to ensure spacing safety for patients. It is not the urgent care facilitys fault if people refuse to follow simple rules. Some times the security guard at the front desk is curt but the nurses and drs attitude is what counts. Parking in their small lot is free at this time.I prefer to go there before using the er which can be a minimum 7hr visit while urgent care at its busiest was 4hrs.

Im not a big fan of the front desk or the appointment taking staff but the doctor here is amazing. Dr.Fida is the most kindest and humble doctor i have come across and she is the only reason i take my 2 year old to this health center. Keep up the great work doctor

Dishonest doctors they will smile at you but they will over charge you for unnecessary tests and exams. I will not recommend this health center to anyone.

They cancelled my appointment because I was late 15 minutes but expect me to come on time which I do all the time. I arrive 30 minutes before appointment and they make me wait 45 minutes for the doctor to see me and only spend less than 15 minutes because they have other patients to see. Im so disappointed.

The worse my son had an appointment they had us sitting for over an hr just to say they canceled it and could offer us another appointment in December mins you its August

Staff from the Urgent care waiting room are very ignorant. They do not have friendly attitude whatsoever. Especially the Lady from the second computer where the security sits. She checked me in and was very rude with the way she would ask me questions on how I was feeling and the reason for my visit. They need better staff who have friendly attitudes with every patient that comes in makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Very Nice friendly atmosphere pleasant employees clean environment on urgent care the staff is very friendly and helpful on holiday days Thanksgiving and Christmas they deserve to spend time with they family as well . Tomorrow is no promise to no one long they come in day before and day after. Have considered for others just as if you were in they situation you would want to spend time with your family on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The doctors are nice but my complaint is more about gross inefficiency of scheduling. To get a walk in appointment you need to be here at 7. Even if you have an appointment you will spend three hours here waiting and trying to schedule follow up appointments is a nightmare and not something you can just do on your way out like at any other clinic. Their hours are also inconsistent and you can never trust what the receptionist tells you. Im so glad I am moving and can change my network with my insurance.

If my appointment is for 330 what the hell am I waiting until 425 to be seen for The nurse and doctor took this long for what The entire process is unprofessional and unorganized. I will not be returning after this visit This is ridiculous. Theres only one nurse servicing 6 patients Where is the rest of the staff Totally ruined my experience but they can make time to tell you what your insurance doesnt cover

I originally began going to their Englewood location until I had an issue with a nurse practitioner who proceeded to read me the riot act about my blood pressure. As a patient you dont need that kind of unwanted lecturing or stress. I found when I changed locations going to the Wood Street location the staff seem to do too much talking and not paying attention to what they are doing. They had me waiting for nearly two hours to be seen by a doctor. They are very slow with appointments and youre waiting upwards of a month to get seen for a non serious health concern. Customer service tends to be poor when the staff is mostly African American and this is from observation and experience. Either way the level of customer service needs to change.
