About Michael Jay Goldberg, MD

Plans are underway with the launch of the N.I.D.S Medical Research Board to initiate the concept of "Project 1999." This plan is being formulated to approve the logical "sorting" of "Autistic" patients, to accelerate new access to existing as well as new agents as early in 1999 as feasible. Due to the ongoing formulation of the hypothesis, protocol, "business" plan, etc. We need help in keeping this going to help our children and all support is welcome.

When your child is diagnosed with autism, everyone seems to have advice. What few people offer are answers. Dr. Goldberg was different. He wanted to understand the full story, including the changes we witnessed as parents. I appreciated that he treated our concerns seriously and never made us feel foolish for asking questions.

My son struggled with communication, focus, and daily activities that many people take for granted. After speaking with Dr. Goldberg, I finally felt like someone was looking beyond the surface. He spent time understanding our son's history and helping us make sense of what we had been experiencing. His compassion toward both parents and children is something I will never forget.

Every autism parent knows the feeling of filling out endless forms and repeating the same story over and over. Dr. Goldberg was one of the few physicians who actually seemed interested in hearing that story. He asked thoughtful questions and genuinely wanted to understand our child's journey. That meant more to us than words can express.

Being an autism mom can feel incredibly lonely. Friends and family often mean well, but they don't always understand what daily life is like. Dr. Goldberg treated us with kindness, patience, and respect. Most importantly, he gave us hope when we desperately needed it. For that, I will always be grateful.

Our daughter had seen many doctors before we found Dr. Goldberg. Most appointments felt rushed. This one didn't. He spent time learning about her development, her challenges, and our concerns as parents. For families who feel like they've run out of places to turn, I believe his perspective is worth hearing.

We brought our 5-year-old son to Dr. Michael J. Goldberg after feeling like we were just going in circles with therapies that weren’t getting to the why. What stood out immediately was that he looked at our child medically, not just behaviorally. He ran labs no one had suggested before and explained things in a way that finally made sense to us. Over time we saw better attention, fewer meltdowns, and he started engaging more with us and his siblings. It wasn’t overnight, and it took commitment, but we finally felt like we were addressing root issues instead of just managing symptoms. We always felt heard, never rushed.

Our daughter is 14 and had struggled for years with fatigue, focus issues, anxiety, and learning problems. We had seen neurologists, psychologists, and specialists, but everything felt fragmented. Dr. Goldberg connected the dots in a way no one else had. He looked at immune function, inflammation, and underlying health pieces we didn’t even know could affect the brain. As her health improved, so did her ability to handle school and daily life. She’s more present, less overwhelmed, and actually has energy again. We appreciate that he treats the whole child, not just a label.
