Unfortunately I am having a hard time rating our entire experience a 5.The dental assistant was amazing so kind and patient with my daughter who was a nervous patient who has not had much dental experience yet. The X-rays and cleaning went great and the dental assistant was kind and explained every step of the way what was happening and really put my daughter at ease. She had a few teeth that are loose and need to come out so she gave us a heads up the dentist might mention that - but assured her no pulling would happen today.When the dentist came in he was friendly and got looking at her teeth. When he got to one of the loose ones my daughter and the assistant both told him that was a sensitive tooth. He proceeded to try to hook it and pull it out and I do understand his intention was to help but my daughter started voicing it hurt and getting upset and he was stopping she started full on crying and he looked at her and sternly said I dont think it hurts that much in a really unsettling tone that I didnt feel was appropriate to be telling a crying kid whos was clearly scared and in pain. She cried harder at this and he stood up and dropped his tools down and said Im done And stormed off with my daughter crying. The dental assistant immediately hugged her and wiped her tears and we both started comforting her but I was in full shock that that even just happened. I was so upset I could hardly think at first. He did make an attempt to say sorry and even said I hope I didnt just ruin her entire dental experience but he fully did which was such a bummer cause no one wants to be at the dentist in the first place but trying to get a little kid to go back after having this experience is going to be awful.Again the rest of the staff was very nice and friendly and patient and I loved the rest of the experience so I wish I could give 5 starts for that portion of the visit. The scheduling person was nice enough to make sure our future visits are with the other dentist the female dentist. I am hopefully we have a better experience with her. I also let them know I how felt at the front desk and felt they listened to my concerns and that also made me feel better too. I was really hopefully for a super great experience and left feeling really upset with our experience but overall thankful the cleaning part went really well

Ive avoided going to the dentist for a while because Ive always had a not-so-good experience for the longest time. But this year since I changed location I decided why not try Metro Dentalcare. I cannot stress enough how amazing Metro Dentalcare is... I 100 recommend Metro Dentalcare in Cottage Grove. The CG team has great customer service. They are kind understanding and know what theyre doing.Recently I got a 2 parts-deep cleaning done. The Dental Hygienist that worked with me was truly the sweetest. She consistently checked-in with me to make sure I felt comfortable. I honesty felt cared for. The sessions went well and I cannot thank her enough.The Dentist was also very nice and supportive. I appreciate his encouraging words and the consultation. They answered all my questions. I wish I knew about Metro Dentalcare sooner. I truly appreciate their expertise and work ethics.
