Merrimack Valley Counseling - Child and Adolescent Office

Merrimack Valley is amazing. From my first call they heard my concerns and provided a suggestion for a therapist. Bryan is amazing I get so much two way discussion during sessions and they also have medication management. Linda psychiatric nurse practitioner works with my therapist Bryan to understand my current challenges and adjusts meds as needed. It is just so nice to have a place where people genuinely care and talk to each other to help the most. I really cant say enough about how amazing they are.

I have been coming here for 5 years and have found the help that I needed to recover from trauma in my life. I can understand some of the frustrations below with scheduling and prescriptions. Truth be told they need to fix their software the team from receptionist to doctors are all great and I have found that each of them truly care.

the care I receive by my provider here is good but they are charging me a cancellation fee for an appointment I never received an email confirmation for the appointment when it was booked. what they sent me instead was a confirmation text 24 hours before the appointment on a SUNDAY for a Monday appointment so I was unable to call them to move it on time. So now Im being charged an 80 cancellation fee. Do better send your reminders during business hours so I can reach you or send confirmation emails when appointments are booked like everyone else in 2024 does. Do better what a ripoff.

Dr. Potter dumped me after just one session because I seemed uncomfortable and didnt think were a good fit . She put words in my mouth that I never said. I was a little uncomfortable because Ive never met this woman and I was answering personal questions.She also diagnosed me as Bipolar 1 after half of an evaluation on the first dayI am appalled at how unprofessional and aggressive she is. But I was willing to give her a chance. She wasnt willing to do the same for me.

Bryan Plumb is an incredible therapist I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to make a meaningful change in their lives. Great guy and awesome listener.

Extremely unprofessional. Had an appointment scheduled but unfortunately I forgot to fill out the papers they needed before hand. The next days I called to reschedule and the lady at the desk said I am not a good fit for them since I was irresponsible. I dont think this is the right way to deal with people who needs help Glad that actually didnt work and I can find a place where people are professional.

If youre looking for a healthcare center with professional staff look elsewhere. I have never dealt with the level of disrespect and disingenuous responses from the reception and scheduling staff. I have been treated like a nuisance every time I have had to ask that my doctor be contacted when my prescription failed to show up at my pharmacy or was ordered with the wrong dosage this has now happened every single time I have been ordered a prescription without fail. I have been left to miss doses for up to several days because of the staffs inability to successfully contact my doctor and contact me in response. These people have zero place working in healthcare considering that they are incredibly unconcerned with the health of their patients. The level of negligence is unbelievable and completely unacceptable when caring for those in need of help.

Extremely unprofessional. I say this with full sincerity please please do not use this provider. There is nothing worse than being diagnosed by someone who will eventually make your problems worse and blame you for it. They act like a mental illness they diagnosed you with isnt capable of affecting your day-to-day life.Was told that being double-charged was my fault because I set my appointments last-minute was accused of lying and always making excuses when I said I havent had any income for 1.5 months that staff would tell my psychiatrist Linda that she should drop me because I often have trouble affordingscheduling appointments. But like they would say you should check next time because I think shes looking into your insurance provider. Unlike Linda I dont make 150 for a 15-minute phone call.I admit that I am late and bad at making appointments which is because they stopped setting them up after I missed ONE. Now it has snowballed into this my account being drained of my first paycheck at a new job once they double charged me but according to MVCLinda its still my fault. Maybe they made my problems worse to get rid of me.

Ive had an amazing experience most of the time my appointments have been by telehealth. Im getting a lot of help coming to terms with disability and chronic pain. I do get confused at times when calling but I really think thats on me for usually coming through telehealth. The times Ive been in the office has been clean. Provider I see has been flexible.

I called and left a message about.my situation and seeking an appointment. I received a call back from Dr Flynn informing me he could take my caaw. When I called the number for the receptionist he provided she said they cant take new patients do t have an effective way of booking out for 369 months because by then people have found someone e which is also why they dont do wait lost. I told her Ive been looking for 12 months and been turned away after every first appt because Im too complicated so I dont mind waiting 3 6 9 12 18 24 months. She said sorry thats not how we work good luck.Hey Merrimack Valley counseling reception ..tell your providers this is how you treat prospective cash paying clients.
