Hi, I’m Melanie, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in San Francisco with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. I work with children from birth through adolescence and specialize in early intervention, autism, sensory differences, feeding, receptive and expressive language disorders, and articulation. My therapy is individualized, play-based, and strength-focused, with strategies designed for real-life routines so families feel confident supporting progress at home. I’m passionate about empowering families and collaborating closely to help each child grow, communicate, and thrive in ways that honor their unique strengths.

If I had to choose three words to describe myself, they would be personable, caring, and adaptable. I strive to create a warm, trusting environment where children feel safe to be themselves and families feel heard and supported. My caring nature drives me to look beyond surface-level goals and truly understand each child’s strengths. Adaptability allows me to pivot quickly, tailoring sessions to what motivates a child in the moment while still targeting meaningful outcomes. I also bring a bit of goofiness into sessions—because when therapy is fun, children engage more deeply and progress follows naturally.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to serve children and families who value a collaborative, family-centered approach and want practical strategies they can confidently use in everyday life. I particularly enjoy supporting young children, autistic learners, and those with feeding or sensory needs, where individualized care can make a lasting impact. Families who are open to parent coaching and partnership tend to see the greatest success. I may be less well-positioned for those seeking a rigid, one-size-fits-all model of therapy, as my approach is flexible, relationship-driven, and rooted in meeting each child exactly where they are.
