Introduction

Hi, I’m Mehri Zadeii, a pediatric speech-language pathologist serving children ages 2–12 in Palm Springs. I believe speech therapy should feel engaging, meaningful, and fun, which is why I use a child-led, naturalistic approach that follows each child’s interests and strengths. I work with children with speech sound disorders, autism, developmental language difficulties, stuttering, and cerebral palsy. I’m passionate about building genuine connections with children, supporting their communication, and celebrating their growth along the way. My goal is to help every child feel understood, confident, and successful.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Patience
Supportive
Connection

I believe patience is so important when working with children because every child learns and communicates in their own way and at their own pace. I also want children and their families to feel comfortable around me and know that they can be themselves. I love bringing humor and lightheartedness into therapy, while still creating a supportive environment where children feel safe to try, make mistakes, and grow. Building trust and connection is an important part of my approach.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to support children ages 2–12 who are experiencing speech, language, or communication challenges, including speech sound disorders, stuttering, autism, developmental language difficulties, and communication challenges associated with cerebral palsy. I especially enjoy working with children who benefit from a child-led, naturalistic approach where therapy can happen through play, connection, and activities that are meaningful to them. I believe children make the greatest progress when they feel safe, understood, and motivated to communicate. My goal is to meet each child where they are and help them grow from there.

    Beaming Review

After our child was diagnosed with autism, we felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Mehri made us feel heard, supported, and reassured. She took the time to answer our questions and gave us helpful advice on how to support our child’s communication. We left feeling more confident and hopeful. We’re so grateful for Mehri’s kindness and guidance.
