About Matan White, MD

Dr. White is a board-certified general psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She trained at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she served as chief resident and completed the women’s mental health track. After completing her training, she started a women’s mental health practice at the UT Southwestern Faculty clinic, where she specialized in and trained psychiatric residents in peripartum mood and anxiety disorders as well as other hormonally-mediated women’s issues. Dr. White is passionate about providing quality care. She is especially aware of the very real struggle that women face in finding mental health care providers who are competent and skilled at providing good care for women with mental health issues during the peripartum and perimenopausal seasons of life. She believes in providing individualized and collaborative care. She is trained in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and medication management and creates a tailored treatment plan for each of her patients. She has been recognized three years in a row by her peers in the TEXAS MONTHLY list of Super Doctors® Rising Stars℠, was voted as one of the D Magazine Best Psychiatrists in Dallas, and continues to serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern where she mentors and teaches medical students and residents.
