Introduction
Hello! My name is Mary T Manzano and I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist licensed to practice in California, Iowa, Alaska, Oregon, and Colorado. I specialize in working with young children from 12 months to 8 years old, supporting their communication and developmental growth during these important early years.
My approach to therapy is play-based and centered around your child’s unique strengths and interests. I believe children learn best when they feel engaged, supported, and are having fun. My areas of expertise include early intervention, parent education and coaching, feeding challenges, language development, and speech sound disorders.
I am deeply passionate about empowering families with the tools and confidence they need to support their child’s progress in everyday routines. My goal is to make therapy enjoyable while helping little ones find their voice and express their needs in meaningful ways. I am always learning and growing in my field, and others often describe me as someone who is truly passionate about what I do.
When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can usually find me enjoying the beautiful beaches of California, Oregon, and Washington, or exploring the many amazing state parks across the country.
I look forward to partnering with your family!
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Compassionate
Knowledgeable
Encouraging
I am a compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging Speech-Language Pathologist who supports infants, toddlers, and all children and their families during the earliest stages of communication development. I blend clinical expertise with a warm, supportive approach to help young children build strong foundations in communication, play, and connection.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I enjoy working with children of all ages who are experiencing early communication challenges, such as limited expressive language, difficulty following simple directions, or frustration when trying to communicate their needs. I also support older children who recognize that they have difficulty communicating effectively in social situations and would benefit from targeted support.
Many of the children I work with may also benefit from support in areas such as play skills, social engagement, feeding, and early literacy development. The families I serve most effectively are engaged and motivated caregivers who are seeking early, practical guidance and are actively involved in their child’s progress. They value coaching, clear strategies to use at home, and ongoing support as they learn how to promote their child’s communication development within everyday routines.
