Dr. O’Connor is dedicated to the oral health of your child from infancy through the teen years. She has been practicing at the same location since 1990 and went to school for two additional years after dental school to specialize. As a result, she has the experience and qualifications to care for your child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood. Without proper dental care, children face possible oral decay and disease that can cause a lifetime of pain and complications. Today, early childhood dental caries—an infectious disease—is 5 times more common in children than asthma. In addition, Dr. O’Connor treats children and adults with special needs. With the help of parents and care providers, much of the dental treatment can be performed in the office or she has OR privileges at Rady Children’s Hospital if general anesthesia is needed.
