Introduction
Hi! I’m Malina, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Oakland. I work with children ages 1–15 using a play-based, strengths-focused approach to support meaningful communication. Whether your child is learning their first words, working on speech sounds, or using AAC to express themselves, I’m here to help therapy feel fun, effective, and empowering. I’m passionate about building strong connections—with both kids and their families—and believe that progress happens best when children feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

If I had to choose three words to describe myself, I’d say I’m fun, empathetic, and patient. I love finding creative ways to make therapy engaging and playful, especially when supporting little ones who thrive through movement and laughter. I’m deeply attuned to each child’s unique needs and communication style, and I meet families with warmth and understanding. Progress takes time and trust, and I always aim to be a steady, encouraging presence on that journey.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve children ages 1–15 who benefit from a playful, affirming, and individualized approach to communication. I love supporting early language development, speech sound clarity, AAC use, and gestalt language processing. I work best with families who are ready to be active partners in the therapy process. While I welcome all types of learners, I may not be the best fit for children who require a highly structured or rigid behavioral model, as my approach leans heavily on flexibility, strengths, and connection.
