About Louis Geigerman
23 years experience as a Special Education Advocate. Mr. Geigerman has presented to numerous groups including the Council of Parents, Attorneys and Advocates on topics relevant to special education. He has also been accepted in several federal district court cases as an expert for testimony on the special education process and the various needs of special education populations. He has represented numerous families in IEP meetings, due process proceedings including resolution sessions and mediations, OCR and professional complaints and school district grievances. He has been an advisor for a continuing series of reports on KRIV-TV Fox 26 in Houston regarding special education and the public schools. He is the host of the national radio show entitled "The Special Ed/Section 504 Radio Hour that is broadcast every Saturday from 11am-12pm. EST on http://cypressradio.org In the summer of 2007, he was featured in a chapter on advocacy in book by Scott Teel, Defending and Parenting Children Who Learn Differently: Lessons from Edison's Mother for Praeger Publishers.
