Introduction

Hi! My name is Lindsay Smith M.S., CCC-SLP , and I’m a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist based in Houston, Texas. I work with children and young adults from birth to 21 years old, supporting their communication development and helping them build skills that carry over into everyday life.

My approach to therapy is play-based, child-led, strengths-focused, and family-centered. I believe therapy should be individualized to each child’s unique needs, interests, and strengths while creating a fun, supportive environment that encourages growth and confidence. My clinical expertise includes speech sound disorders, language development, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and pediatric feeding therapy. I value evidence-based practice and collaboration with families and other professionals to provide meaningful, well-rounded care.

I’m passionate about empowering families, celebrating every milestone, and helping children develop the skills they need to communicate, connect, and participate more fully in their daily lives. I strive to make therapy engaging, purposeful, and tailored to each child so they feel supported throughout their journey.

When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can find me working out, exploring new restaurants, or traveling!

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Compassionate
Attentive
Dedicated

I chose compassionate, attentive, and dedicated because these qualities reflect the type of clinician I strive to be. I believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and valued, and I approach each session with empathy and compassion for both the child and their family. I am attentive to each child’s unique needs, strengths, and communication style so I can provide individualized, meaningful therapy. I am dedicated to helping every child reach their fullest potential by continually seeking ways to support their growth, celebrating their progress, and empowering families throughout the therapy journey.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am best positioned to serve children and young adults from birth to 21 years old who need support with speech, language, communication, and feeding skills. I enjoy working with children with speech sound disorders, language delays, and complex communication needs who may benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I am especially passionate about early communication development, helping children build functional communication skills, and empowering families to support progress beyond therapy sessions. I thrive in collaborative, child-centered environments where I can use play-based, individualized, and evidence-based strategies to help each child reach their fullest potential.

    Beaming Review

Lindsay is well versed in AAC treatment and generously supports other providers through lunch-and-learns and documentation guidance. She is personable, warm, and up to date on research, and kids working with other SLPs in the clinic would often notice her and want to work with her instead. I would 100% refer patients and family members to her!
