About Life Skills Centers, INC. - Life Skills Opportunities
Life Skills Opportunities is a community based program located in the rural town of Capac. We are modeled after our Choices program in Washington Township.
Opportunities currently has 20 individuals in attendance and provides services to persons with Severe to
Mild DD as well as those who struggle with mental illness diagnosis.
The individuals at this location enjoy a wide range of community opportunities, all of which have a skill/learning experience attached to them.
Each person benefits from the smaller ratios and the strong sense of support and personalized care.
Opportunities consumers spend 90% of their time in the community enjoying museums, fairs/flea markets, orchards, personal shopping, water parks, bingo, cooking classes. Our consumers also participate in many leisure/recreational activities such as bowling, kickball at the park, CC Dance and Xbox Kinect. Life Skills volunteers one time a week cleaning a church in Attica and collects food items for holiday meals.
