Representing family members of developmentally disabled individuals in conservatorship proceedings. If you have a family member that is developmentally disabled, you want to ensure they will be protected and cared for over their lifetime. In order to have the legal rights to make decisions about the care and education of such an individual once he or she turns 18, a conservatorship may be necessary. Services include consultations, document preparation only, or full package of representation through the conservatorship process.

Alexis had a career in education and corporate philanthropy prior to attending law school from 2008-2011. Upon graduation, she worked for an estate planning firm with extensive expertise in Special Needs Trusts and Conservatorships. Working with families to ensure their family members with disabilities were protected through conservatorship became Alexis’s passion. She launched her own practice to focus solely on this need. She prides herself on her friendly and compassionate approach to representing clients within the disability community.

Alexis is an active volunteer in the community by doing everything from baking cookies for and volunteering at local fundraisers to serving on the boards of Matrix Parent Network & Resource Center and Integrated Community Services. She is also in charge of fundraising for her daughter's public school PTA. Alexis feels incredibly lucky to have landed in this niche of work where she gets to be part of such a warm and supportive community.
