Laconia Rehabilitation Center

I have a brother who is a long-term resident at the Laconia Facility. He is very well taken care of and happy to be at such a good place. They have provided excellent medical attention and he and the rest of our family are glad he is receiving excellent care. I would highly recommend the Laconia Rehabilitation Center Facility. I also want to commend Jason Cazeault the Head Nurse Manager in my brothers unit Jason is outstanding. In addition Social Services is very important at any facility. The Director of Social Services Emily Maddock has done a great job of ensuring her staff is very responsive to patients as evidenced by the positive response my brother has received. She and the rest of her Social Services staff should also be commended.

Everyone has been super nice and friendly to me and my family. If I could Id rate them a 4.5 . I will say in talking w residents many say they would like to see some important in food quality. I personally wish the bathrooms were only scared by 2 people not 4.

We visited this past weekend and found the common area to be very shabby and not particularly clean. I know its more about patient care but environment is important too.

Since Mom has been a resident here she has made great strides in making friends and being more social. She has adjusted quite nicely. Her words I love it here.Every single staff member that I have encountered has been nothing short of wonderful. They are all so very helpful and kind. Specifically Id like to thank Ginny and Marcia for all of their help since Mom arrived. . Without them navigating this process would be much more difficult.

My mamma is the strongest women I know she stood for a whole minute on Tuesday then she proceeded to take her first ever step in almost 3 years today Shell continue to move mountains its only up from here mamma I love you so much and huge shout out to My Genesis HealthCare Laconia rehabilitation center amazing physical therapy department for working with her and all the nurses and licensed nursing assistant that take care of my mamma day in and day out youre more appreciated then youll ever know

My wife is recovering from a stroke all the people nurses everyone are so kind and pleasant caring and helpful Im grateful my wife is getting great care from great people

Staff helpful friendly and knowledgeable. The floors in paient rooms could be cleaner. Observed partials on the floor several times.

Wonderful quality care is being given to my mother. She has made great progress there. The staff is caring and knowledgeable.

This place is awful if I could give negative stars I would. My mother has been there for 3 months after an amputation. The facility has almost every piece of clothing she owns and they have not brought her any clean clothes apart from 1 or 2 articles sporadically. She now has a fungal rash due to having to sit for WEEKS in dirty clothing and she isnt the only one. I have had to buy her more clothes as the facility has made no move to find the clothing they have in their possession. I have spoken to the administrator several times am promised it will change and it hasnt. They charge insurance for services like laundry and housekeeping... they are not providing the service yet want to charge the full price for care which is exorbitant.The food is also disgusting and inedible most days. My mother will order off the choices provided and she gets what they want to give her and not what she ordered. She has no teeth and they send salads hamburger...things she cannot chew. This place is a disgrace and it is disgusting how these elderly people are being treated. If you love your family member do NOT send them here

This facility is horrible. No one wants to get to know the patient or family. They do not care about the patient or staff. Everyone is just another dollar. Food is horrendous. The smell in the hallway is rancid. I could go on and on.
