A well oiled swimming machine - it is super easy to enroll your kiddos for swimming lessons and have them learn skill to be safe in the water. I have one kiddo that has attended in the past and one that is currently going. Parking can be a little different depending on when you go but you always find something. I wish the classes could be either a little longer or with more frequent because it can take a while for a kid to love levels and it can get expensive if you have more than one kid attending.

The pool is large and heated. Depth is 2.5ft to 6ft. They provide lessons for all ages. There is plenty teachers to choose from. Enrollment into classes is online and simple. First class is free.I am taking swimming classes for adults. In the beginning I was very uncomfortable and scared of the water. Five months into my classes I finally swam for the first time in my life. I feel amazing about that and I am still taking lessons to develop new skills and to learn different swimming styles. Definitely recommend

A good swimming experience for my child but their predatory auto-debit billing policy resulted in us paying 160 for a month of swimming lessons that we cannot use simply because we submitted their online cancellation request slightly after their deadline.Further we had attempted to cancel in-person first and the person at the desk insisted we had to do it online. Fairly typical situation where barriers are placed in the way of cancelling subscription services so that you end up paying for services you dont use.

We cant thank LBP SF enough My daughter graduated lvl 5 at age 6 She started learning swimming there 4 yrs ago and continued on her journey coached by many of LPBs incredible teachers. We will surely miss LPB SF and all the beautiful memories we leave there. The culture of LBP SF the colorful ribbons and the ringing bells all mean a child has achieved the milestone which is beautiful and encouraging. Also we would like to thank Elizabeth S. who encouraged my daughter through her journey with kindness and patience.

We enrolled at La Petite Baleen shortly before Covid started in January 2020 my 6 years old has progressed a lot since their re-opening the teachers are great we miss Jason and they have a real curriculum to help kids love swimming . By constrast she did not improve much for the 18 months before at the YMCA Chinatown. In short expansive but well worth the money

It sounds like these classes are great. I called to book a reservation and learned that theres no availability in the near future - completely understandable considering how popular this place is.When I asked if there are any other pools in the area she would recommend Diane laughed and said you mean like a competitor and said wouldnt give me any suggestions. This would normally be understandable except were talking about swim lessons for a newborn baby.Im uncomfortable supporting a place that prioritizes their already dominant baby swim lesson market share over helping my child learn a potentially life saving skill as soon as possible. We joined the JCC.

ive been taking my daughter here for nearly 3 years. she started when she was 4 months old with me and now swims with an instructor. transitioning to swimming with an instructor alone was a bit touch and go but the staff were super patient and now she loves it. love this place

I have two kids that have been taking classes here for about 1.5 years. My oldest is now 5.5 years old and my younger child is about to turn 3. Both have a great time and look forward to their swim classes every week. Ive been getting into the pool with my younger child since hes too young to be in by himself. They have two pools. One is for the small kids under 3 I think and the bigger pool is for the slightly older kids who dont need a parent in the pool with them. Theres a fair amount of seating for the parents although it is often a tight fit. Our classes are on Sunday mornings so Im not sure how busy it is at other times. The showers and changing rooms are good. Since several classes end at the same time it can get a little crowded in the shower but thats usually not a problem. The bigger problem is in the changing room where it often fills up and Im left having to change my two children on a small section of a bench or have to wait for another parent to finish. Again maybe this problem is only limited to their busier times.Parking can be a pain. This location is at Crissy Field so theres a lot of people out just enjoying the park which makes finding a spot a little hard sometimes.Another problem with it being near Crissy Field is that theres several weekends where they need to cancel classes in the morning due to events that are out of the schools control. Most recently there was a marathon that prevented traffic from accessing the area. We get credited for the classes we miss but it sucks that my kids miss a week of class.Overall I love the school and many of the teachers are so awesome. I highly recommend this place but almost dont want to because I dont want it getting any more crowded than it already is.
