Meeting place for senior citizens living nearby. Formerly 50th police precinct unknown if there are holding cells inside.

This place is truly terrible. The workers offer zero assistance with attitudes. The summer camp kids are reckless and its obvious the staff members have zero control. They are great for hosting events because that seems to be all they care about. Thats the only time theres a good time. Its a very toxic environment. I had to remove my kid because they allow middle schoolers to smoke vapes with no consequences and one of the staff members was so rude to my child and shes only 11. My child came home crying because the summer camp lady spoke her with so much disrespect and foul language. Its truly a terrible toxic community center and I wish there were more community centers that actually look out for the kids and parents and not there for a check. They should just get rid of it already it isnt beneficial to anyone.

Agree with Noemi Tolliver been in the area for 9yrs and approach this center about 3xs and they just like avoiding me to come in person even before the pandemic. They dont help and give information on anything. So for Mr. Michael Carrantes to say he found this center so fabulous he just moved to the area a month ago makes me question a lot of things. Im giving up on trying to get services or anything from this center anymore. I just tried again yesterday can tell you was just a waste of time Again. But Im sure they do need donations and Volunteers for their childcare and ect.. or a bilingual receptionist with experience in child care to do both. I mean really

I just moved into the area and visited the Community Center for the first time I was very impressed by the grandiosity of the building and enjoyed my visit

They are all about the community and helping others they been donating and growing vegetables before this covid 19 started. They help young people and family in necessity they even have English classes and citizenship classes after school program for the youth and more they even have bees making honey and so much more my youngest graduated pre kindergarten and my 16yr old is now having his internship this place is a blessing to the community.

Went there to volunteer at their food pantry and loved it. Even though I did struggle to get inside of the building itself instead of putting us to work straight away they gave us some insight about the place as well as a tour. The pantry was messy but fixed in the end and we got to take a few items from it with us. Great place and offers a lot of programs for its community.

i dont stop in as often as i have grown older and the younger generation has been blessed with this center - they have impacted the community for years they truly stand for our community our block radius. memories dont die so i use to shoot hoops and party back then. today i see kids getting tutored and mentored - truly a generational blessing

A great community center with a variety of programs and opportunities for all ages. If you need early childhood they got it. If you need esol classes they got it. A teen center that caters psycho educational development to middle school and high school students. College directions its there too. Connecting you with community programs to help those in a struggle that is there too. Its got everything.

I have taken my family to a park to get away from the same routine of the daily basisafter 45 minutes getting to this park fewer yellow busses arrived to the park with a large group of kids wearing grey shirt others wearing red shirts with the letters SYEP15 minutes after their arrival I have observed a group of young kidsteenagersseating away from the regular groupmy lord the words curses coming out of this group using all kind of profanity were incredible not just the words used by this kids but also under the supervision of an adult wearing a grey shirt of what it supposed to be one of the heads from the staffimmediately have to remove my self with my kids grandkids away from this group because the whole purpose was to get away from the same daily issues we go through not knowing that i was exposing my kids grandkids to the same issues we leave day by day on our communityp.s....camp I wont recommend to any friend or family member specially if they going to be supervised the way they have during my visit to the park

The KHCC staff are caring and helpful for so many community members especially the teens.
