Janet Widmann, President and CEO

Founding Story

Janet Widmann is a health care industry executive with experience leading multi-billion-dollar companies, including Blue Shield of California, Health Net and Health Market. As President and Chief Executive Officer at Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics, Janet leads the growth and expansion of the Kids Care brand with the mission to give every kid a healthy, giggly smile. She believes emphatically that doctor and employee experience drive patient experience. She currently serves on the boards of directors for Avista Corporation (NYSE:AVA), a utility company serving the Pacific Northwest; and Delta Dental of California, the largest dental insurer in the country. Her previous board leadership positions include Versant Health, the second-largest vision plan in the United States, and a Governor Appointee to the California Health Professional Education Foundation Board of Trustees, which strives to improve access to health care in underserved areas of California. Janet is a member of the Committee of 200 and Internal Women’s Forum and has been consistently recognized as one of the most influential women in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.
