Kids Care Dental - San Jose

This was our daughters first dentist visit at the age of 4. I was so scared for her not knowing what to expect. She was beyond excited but I was the nervous one. Let me tell you how amazing the staff was Alexis so kind and very nurturing to our daughter. She made the experience so comfortable and amazing for our daughter and to be honest for us as well. I appreciated the walk through of everything that was going to happen it truly made us all feel extremely comfortable. I cant be anymore thankful for the staff and am memorable first time experience that we will definitely cherish. Thanks

My child has had 3 visits here now ages 3-4 and while the services provided have been adequate the billing has been a nightmare.The two most recent cleanings were in Nov 2022 May 2023. I gave the office our updated insurance information prior to the Nov 2022 appointment but it was apparently lost by the staff. I did notice a declined EOB from the old insurance in my mail in December but received no communication from Kids Care in that regard. We have never received any official billing statement from the dental office and no mention was made of an outstanding balance at the May 2023 appointment.In late Sept 2023 I received a text message about an outstanding balance again not an actual billing statement. I called the local office and was eventually called back by their billing person. After giving me a very hard time she eventually agreed to submit the claim to the new insurance since it was less than 1 year. A month later late Oct 2023 I received another text about the outstanding balance. I logged into my Metlife Dental current insurance and see that no claims have been submitted by Kids Care.I tried calling the local number for the San Jose office today and gave up after waiting on hold for 12 minutes with nobody coming to the phone. I tried calling the main 800-number for customer service but the person who answered the phone could not get ahold of the insurance team so he took my insurance information directly and said he would send them a message and to call back in 2 weeks if I havent heard back from the insurance team.We are approaching the 1-year deadline I dont actually remember when in November the appointment was since Kids Care does not communicate appointment reminders via email and never send billing statements. If the proper insurance is not billed by Kids Care Im not going to pay the bill out-of-pocket because Kids Care dropped the ball. I cant even submit my own claim to the insurance without a proper billing statement.

I had a disappointing experience with this dental practice and their Sunnyvale location that recently closed. Their customer service was abysmalmultiple phone calls went unanswered and the long waits were frustrating. The delay in filing insurance claims almost a year added to the ordeal. Now theyre persistently following up for payments making the entire situation even more bothersome. Overall a regrettable encounter with poor service and organizational issues.

Never go to this dental clinic. Before my visit I confirmed multiple times that the insurance covered the services. However they did not inform me that they assigned a non-covered doctor. While at the clinic I was assured that there would be no charge. A few days later I received a notification stating that the doctor was not within the insurance network and I owed over 100. My insurance company labeled this as a surprise bill which is illegal in California. I rejected their demand. Two years later they sent another notice still insisting on payment It has been an unreasonable ordeal consuming a significant amount of my time. Attempts to communicate through phone calls were mostly futile with constant busy signals and unreturned promised calls. This establishment is unequivocally shady stay away from them.

Highly highly recommend dr Dhillon and her staff especially Danielle Super gentle with young kids very thorough and thoughtful love that she is conservative with treatments yet keeps a good handle on things that needs to be fixed. She treated my 2 yo for 6 cavities helped manage them with sdf for 3 years and finally did the filling when he was 5. Same thing for my 7yo who is super sensitive.

Friendly office staff comfortable environment. Doctor made my son feel comfortable. Dental assistant wasnt the most friendly but did not take away from the overall positive interaction we had.

Worst experience ever I visited the office with my 6-years-old son for his treatment today. Unfortunately my overall experience was extremely disappointing and left me questioning the professionalism and patience of the dentist.When we just began treatment my son vocalized his discomfort through very small whimpers. The dentist abruptly left the room promising to return shortly after he calmed down. Although my son calmed down within a minute we were left waiting in confusion for over 20 minutes without any sign of the dentists return. When I asked the nurse she told us to wait for another 5 minutes but even after that time had passed the dentist still failed to show up. Frustrated and unsure of how much longer we needed to wait we made the decision to leave the office feeling incredibly disappointed.

Stay away from this place I wish I could give a ZERO for this office. They dont seem to be able to communicate with our insurance and get the right info for our coverage. I received a message from them with the wrong info on our insurance coverage. btw based on the wrong info they asked us to cancel the appt. I tried to call them to clarify but the office NEVER picked up the phone. So I drove to the office only noticed that 2-3 ladies were sitting at the front without any patient around. Interestingly during my stay in their office their phone never rang. I left the office and tried to call them in my car again nobody picked up. Finally I called their central line and canceled the appt. Till then 7 hours had passed just trying to communicate with them.

It was a fantastic experience I brought my son for a regular checkup today. I was so impressed with the way his dental hygienist was extremely patient gentle and attentive and also fun way to my son an anxious and sensitive boy. She truly understands kids so well. She even sang to calm my son down. It worked and it was a very successful appointmentThe dentist was also great. She cheered my son to relax and had good advice to prevent problems and to let me know the ways to keep his clean teeth.I will definitely bring my kid again.Here are some presents for my son.
