Introduction
Hi! I’m Kerri Berard, a speech-language pathologist based in Fort Worth, Texas, who specializes in supporting people who stutter. I work with clients ages 2–99 and take a client-centered, stutter-affirming, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients can explore communication, build confidence, and experience more spontaneous, joyful communication without shame or struggle. I’m passionate about helping people who stutter feel empowered to communicate as themselves while developing the skills and confidence to navigate whatever communication situations are meaningful to them.

I’m attentive because I genuinely listen to my clients and pay attention to what matters most to them—not just what happens during a therapy session, but how communication fits into their everyday lives. I’m knowledgeable about stuttering, and I’m always looking for ways to continue learning and growing as a clinician. And I’m fun! I believe therapy can be meaningful and effective while still being enjoyable. I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves, laughing, and having fun while working toward their communication goals.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve people who stutter, from young children through adults, who are looking for individualized, stutter-affirming support. I’m especially passionate about helping clients develop confidence, reduce shame and struggle around communication, and work toward more spontaneous and joyful communication. Because stuttering is my area of expertise, I’m currently not accepting clients whose primary needs are in other areas of speech, language, or communication. My goal is to provide specialized, high-quality support to people who stutter rather than offering treatment outside my current area of clinical focus.
