Kenetra Malone

I worked for legal services for a brief period immediately after law school. Then I used my legal training outside the practice of law working in human resources. Following that, I then spent over nine years in education. In over twenty years of working in various roles there were two constants: I was either teaching or advocating in some manner. During that time, I became acutely aware of three facts: (1) numerous students, especially special needs students, are not provided services that they should be afforded in public schools; (2) there is a direct causal relationship between a lack of educational success and involvement in the criminal justice system; and (3) numerous children who become involved with the criminal justice system lack adequate representation. It has been a combination of these life experiences that has solidified my desire to provide quality education advocacy and legal representation to under-served youth and their families.
