Introduction

Hi there, I’m Kelsey – a speech-language pathologist based in San Francisco. I mostly work with little ones in the early intervention stage, but I have experience working with kids of all ages and adults across the lifespan. I’m especially passionate about working with kids with childhood apraxia of speech — I had lots of hands-on experience with apraxia during grad school, and I found my niche! My approach is play-based and child-led because I believe therapy should be fun, engaging, and all about building connection. Communication isn’t just about words — it’s about relationships — and I always aim to create a supportive space where kids and families feel confident and understood. When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me exploring California (I’m originally from the East Coast!), spending time with friends and family, getting lost in a good book, or learning how to surf.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Compassionate
Playful
Patient
I would describe myself as compassionate, playful, and patient. I’m a strong believer in meeting kids where they are and following their lead to make therapy fun and meaningful. I’m especially passionate about working with kids with CAS and love digging into what makes each child unique. I’m curious and always learning — whether it’s through continuing education or just seeing the world through the eyes of the kids I work with. I strive to create a space that’s warm, supportive, and connection-focused.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am best positioned to support young children ages birth to 3 who are just starting to build their language skills, as well as children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and articulation challenges. I use a play-based, child-led approach to help kids feel engaged and confident as they learn to communicate. CAS is a special area of interest for me, and I have extensive training and experience in supporting this population. I’m always happy to help families find the right fit, even if that’s not me!
