Kelly Van Clief, M.S., OTR/L
Introduction
My name is Kelly and most people call me Kel. I'm a family centered occupational therapist, offering virtual services to individuals in California! I serve children 0-10 with disabilities ranging from down syndrome to those who are neurodiverse. And I serve new parents and birth individuals with their pelvic floor health and related challenges that are unique to parenting.
I'm not well positioned to serve children with significant medical needs or to write letters of medical necessity.
I am passionate about empowering families as a unit to feel they can navigate their daily needs. Others describe me as an auntie who is patient, empathetic and a kind individual with a playful nature! When I'm not working, I'm normally outside climbing or surfing, or just hanging out with my dogs.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
I intentionally collaborate with my clients to understand their perspective, their values and priorities. I am empathetic as I practice this understanding with a trauma informed lens. I understand that all people make progress at their own rate. And I am playful as one must be when working with kids!
