Introduction
Hi, I’m Katy, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Oakland. I support children from birth through 18 using a neuroaffirming, play-based, and strengths-based approach that honors each child’s individuality. My sessions naturally incorporate movement and sensory regulation to help children feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn. I have experience in early intervention, AAC, autism, and speech sound disorders. I believe therapy should feel joyful, empowering, and meaningful for the whole family.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve children from birth to 18 who benefit from a play-based, neuroaffirming approach, including children in early intervention, autistic children, AAC users, and those with speech sound or language differences. I work especially well with families who value collaboration, curiosity, and celebrating strengths. I may not be the best fit for families seeking a highly rigid, drill-based, or compliance-focused therapy model.
