Julie Billiart Akron has been an AMAZING school for our son. Discovering JB Akron has literally changed our lives as before in public schools he was ignored and didnt get the help he needed. JB goes above and beyond for the students and it truly is a family like environment there. The teachers and staff are all phenomenal and are very caring and easy to communicate with. We are in our third year there and we couldnt be happier If you are looking for a school that cares about your child and is supportive yet still academically challenging this is it. I just cant put into words how wonderful and special JB is

Julie Billiart is amazing The teachers and staff work so hard to bring out the best in students. The atmosphere is the perfect place for learning for our son. He has excelled being at the school. We can not be happier with our decision to send him to JB-Akron.

My husband and I are raising our nine-year-old grandson who has been diagnosed with autism ADHD and sensory processing disorder. When he started Kindergarten on the advice of our school system we placed him in a main stream class. Although the school was wonderful his experience was a nightmare. On day I saw an advertisement for a new special needs school that was opening in the Akron area. We went to the open house and were able to enroll him at Julie Billiart in Akron and now in the three years that he has been there he has excelled both academically and emotionally more than we could ever have envisioned. The teachers and staff at Julie Billiart School are the most caring compassionate and amazing people we have ever met. My grandson now looks forward every morning to getting dressed and going to school as opposed to last year when he would cry every morning. We could not be more pleased with the whole Julie Billiart School system Thank you more than we can say with not only changing his life but changing ours as well

I thought this school was a prefect fit for my autistic son on the spectrum. I have never seen a school kick out a special needs child. But they promised to help with transition. That didnt happen and that free public education my child was due was not fulfilled. During transation the school is to provide an education until there is another opening this also wasnt done. This whole situation was premeditated and handled completely wrong. Think twice before sending your child here.

This school was amazing when they first opened as they grew and got more students it has went down hill. The lack of communication is horrible They respond by saying they dont have enough staff or they have more students this year. The principal is amazing thats the only thing I can say .one of my children have been going there since they first opened but they will not be returning next year. They keep raising the tuition but the only families it dont affect is the ones that get the autism scholarship. This year has been a nightmare with communication from the teachers Paying for an education that the teacher dont care if my child gets it or not

Julie Billiart is an amazing school. The moment you walk in you are greeted by smiling faces and a sense of comfort. We knew once we walked in the doors that our son was going to do great here. He could work through his anxieties and get his speech and occupational needs met while getting a great education with a small classroom size which helps to individualize attention and learning. His education is tailored to his needs and on the level that is needed. Hes a great reader and academically needs challenged because hes quite the smarty pants. Hes thriving and has so many wonderful friends to see each day. The faculty genuinely cares for each child and they are very considerate of each childs individualized learning plan. There are scholarships and financial assistance available a good education with additional services is not out of reach Our story is just beginning but I cannot wait to see what is next The JB way is magical and I would love to see more kiddos benefit from a school like this Ours sure has

I cant say enough about this school. Our son has been diagnosed with high functioning autism Tourettes syndrome significant phonological speech disorder and mixed receptive and expressive language disorder. He was failing in our public school setting. As I mom I constantly fought for services and was told they were doing all they could. At the end of third quarter he knew 17 letters of the alphabet and a handful of numbers. Since he is on an IEP they were going to push him through to first grade and did not see it as an issue. We made the decision then to pull him from the public school with 6 weeks left to go in the year. His report cards speak for itself. He went from limited progress with intervention to mastering all subjects. If you have a child who has an learning difficulties please look into this school. The teachers and staff are beyond amazing. They are trained and have the tools for kids with learning disabilities to succeed. We are blessed to have found Julie Billiart Schools for our son.
