Disappointing Experience with Rabbi Howard WolkI recently reached out to Rabbi Wolk seeking guidance and support for my upcoming wedding. As a Jewish individual marrying someone outside of the faith I hoped for understanding and assistance in finding a Rabbi to officiate our ceremony.However I was met with immense disappointment. Rabbi Wolk not only failed to provide any helpful information but also expressed discomfort in assisting me. His response was shockingly judgmental as he suggested I rethink my life decision simply because my partner is not Jewish.This encounter left me feeling disheartened and marginalized. As a religious leader one would expect Rabbi Wolk to offer compassion and guidance to all members of his community regardless of their backgrounds or choices. Unfortunately his closed-mindedness and lack of support have only served to deepen my disappointment.In the end I found the support and guidance I needed elsewhere but I cannot overlook Rabbi Wolks refusal to offer even basic assistance. I hope that in the future he can approach such situations with more empathy and understanding.

I reached out to look for a therapist first of all initial intake took forever then nothing happened Then I reached again after about two weeks to see...

Im homeless and the struggle is real...I tried to call to get info about getting g help with food ..got hung up on not answered...just straight up like they answered and hung up....very rude ..but I guess eating isnt essential to not dying.Edited part.....I attempted again...and only after 2 and half weeks did I finally get a call back...but then they tell me the soonest appointment available to get food is a month away...thats stupid one would be dead of starvation by then. How does it make sense to have to make an appointment to get food and then be told to wait a month to get it and only after 2 and half weeks of waiting for a return call It doesnt make sense. Look this wolrd is dying from hate and complete dysfunction due to well I say it ignorance and stupidity and the lack of people using their brain. Oh well though right But I just take stick in my and my skillets cause it seems too many folks in this world clearly do know how to handle reality correctly. Folks Ill say it we as humans are goin to just have to start breaking rules to survive. And I Mena when one doesnt buy permits to hunt or fish so they can survive buy harvesting food. Not to go rob someone. Cause our gov and too many individuals on this earth dont have it right. Pray cause will will need to and have strength. Cause their is alot of blasphemy floating around driven by evil. And I will not sacrifice myself for the unworthy. And there is a whole lot of unworthy on this planet. It just clealry this place doesnt understand how to make things functional. And when ya tell someone to come by Ina review and someone tells them if ya have no appointment ya get not help. That negates all belief that the entity is tryin to be honest or help. Good luck with your souls and lives to all but if ya make bad choices ya go to bad places.

They accepted a large load of donations of baked goods today when the larger pantries were all closed for the holidays. Nothing wasted its wonderful.

Compassion is a way of life for the folks who volunteer and work here. Truly a hand up and not just a hand out.

This place is great They got me and my partner a very reasonable rate for counseling. They use a sliding scale now based off your income. So if you can truly only afford 20 dollars per session then thats what they give you for the same service as the full price. Both of our counselors have been great for us but they will also try their best to get you a better fit if its not working for you. The intake system can take some time I think I waited a couple of months from the time I called to the time I started so maybe not great if you need a therapist today. But if you can wait a bit this is an amazing service If you dont hear anything for a while after your intake interview you can call and see your place on the waiting list. They do have a limited amount of counselors who seem to be very busy so patience is virtue. If you can wait and think you cant afford any help please check out this resource It could save your life.

Such a wonderful resource for our community. They offer so much to people of all faiths and religions from career counseling and support to food bank to counseling and so much more. All quality employees and trained staff always so kind. A real gem for our community.

Collin has been such a blessing to me. Hes worked very hard on my case collecting as much information as he can to help me as much as possible. He is the reason my utilities are still on. Hes been kind compassionate and empathetic to my situation. These people are truly doing Gods work. Thank you.

I would always respect the Jewish family services in Dallas Texas its very special peoples and great staff like my family
